i saw it sa news last night, nagcloud seeding sila using a few sacks of rock salt.
using 2 airplanes, they scattered it above the clouds para daw bumigat at magproduce ng ulan.
hindi kaya kalawangin ang mga tsikot natin dito? maalat na ulan?
di ko pa naman natikman kung maalat nga?

ndi naman ata ordinary salt ang gamit nila. silver iodide ata. tama ba?
anyway, they do this to increase the water of the dams supplying water to metro manila.
wag mo na lang muna paulanan kotse mo kung mejo concerned ka sa risk ng corrosion.

July 28th, 2007 02:33 AM #3Yep. I heard nga silver iodide nga yata. I'm almost sure it's not corrosive (at least not as much as salt anyway) kasi silver is less corrosive (though it tarnishes. hehe).

Frankly, that's a load of rubbish. The change of seasons must be artificial then.
(P.S. "Natural" is quite subjective. It can be argued that everything is natural for science is just a methodical reverse engineering of natural principles, though not many subscribe to this point of view.)
