i saw it sa news last night, nagcloud seeding sila using a few sacks of rock salt.
using 2 airplanes, they scattered it above the clouds para daw bumigat at magproduce ng ulan.

anyway, they do this to increase the water of the dams supplying water to metro manila.

wag mo na lang muna paulanan kotse mo kung mejo concerned ka sa risk ng corrosion.

Yep. I heard nga silver iodide nga yata. I'm almost sure it's not corrosive (at least not as much as salt anyway) kasi silver is less corrosive (though it tarnishes. hehe).

Frankly, that's a load of rubbish. The change of seasons must be artificial then.

(P.S. "Natural" is quite subjective. It can be argued that everything is natural for science is just a methodical reverse engineering of natural principles, though not many subscribe to this point of view.)

Yun din sana ang gusto ko pero my analisys is that the reason why they do it in the late afternoon is so that the ground and air temperature is lower so there will be less evaporation after the rain. Sayang naman yung artificial rain kung mag-e-evaporate agad.

Hassle to. Dapat dun na lang sila magpa-ulan sa mismong angat dam. Dapat pwede nila i-target certain area. Kadiri maglakad pag medyo basa yung daan

alam ng nature yan kaya siguro pilit na pilit ang ulan dito sa'tin.

well yan talaga mapapala natin for being overpopulated and greedy on resources.

They do actually target the areas around the dams, but the wind blows away the rain clouds.

Here in our place in Las Pinas, the rain clouds just pass overhead.... On a few occasions, they fall 'heavily' causing flooded streets and/or monstrous traffic jams.

I guess the rain clouds precipitate when they hit higher grounds in Laguna, Cavite and Batangas areas.....

like i said, nature * work. it's like the hurricanes in the Atlantic coastlines, just when an entire city gets evacuated, the hurricanes veer off in another unprepared city ...

there is a reason why we are having a drought. better prepare for it.

malaki problema ng mga water business ngaun like laundry, water refilling, car wash, pool rentals. good thing I stayed away from these businesses. when you consume too much of natural resources, it's bound to get back at you.

cloud seeding using salt?
