sana nga may china company kumuha ng lisensya nyan tapos kahit hindi na civic name pero dapat same lahat tapos patibayin lang trailang arm bushing, power steering hindi magleak agad eh good for 20years yan.
That is the best civc ever shape and size wise and ganda yan pag walang tint.
Not as long as the fd and yung current tito civic aka accord na madali maluma tingnan lalo na yung likod.
Pag ek gamit ko sisiw parallel parking.
If I had lots and lots of money, and this will be my tenth car, perhaps I might consider but a third or fourth car, I don't think so. What makes this better than a Miata aside from nostalgia?
Well, someone said that don't make any comments about this SiR if you know nothing about it. You may have all the money but, "can you buy the original accessories?" is the argument.
I'm not a car guy but a wannabe car enthusiast so I'll pass.

This I think is somewhat "reasonably" priced.
the sir is for enthusiasts. i would be very happy if i got a much cheaper mint-condition late 90s civic lxi, instead. it should ferry me from point a to point b in the same relative comfort.

Naiiwan ng panahon ang pag-iisip?
From a car enthusiast, I don’t think thats a fair statement.
I know couple of guys in 50s-60s collecting Ford Escorts. So can I go up to them and tell them to grow-up? I dont think so.
Theres really a difference from a car enthusiast to a casual car guy.
People who scoff at "expensive" EK Civics are usually people who don't understand the tuning potential of these cars.
If you check the fastest times in Clark or BRC, save for the supercars, most of them are well-modified EKs and EGs. Faster than an FK8/STi or tuned FD.
There are many other cars with high tuning potential but the availability, price and reliability of EK parts is a significant reason why they are still the preferred track car to this day.

I like old fast cars but there’s a line between appreciation and lunacy. I didn’t say anything wrong about buying a classic. There are reasonable amounts to spend on a classic but for a dressed-up EK, that’s too much. That’s being mature.
I would understand if it was a loaded E36 M3 or maybe an Evo8 or Skyline R33/R34. A Sylvia with a tuned engine and track-capable suspension is a better proposition.

someone once jokingly said, "the difference between appreciation and lunacy, is that the former can easily afford it".
lookit the owners of rollses and bentleys.
heh heh.
Why buy an old EK for 2.4M when you can buy a new Type R for 3M?
However, if a chance is presented upon me on a reasonably-priced stock Civic EK SiR, I’d take it. Maybe 300k but if it’s beyond that, I can get an old WRX STi for less than 1M.
