    i don't know. who knows?

i have a feeling that these kids think it's just a game...
i also have this feeling that, after all this, they won't think it's just a game, anymore.
they learned something, and may now be allowed to move forward.
When we were in highschool, a group of batchmates of mine almost didn't graduate because they photocopied fair tickets (good as cash for concessionaires on the fair grounds) worth just roughly 20k. This is far more severe and damaging than that as this involves the dignity of the girls who were compromised.

If your daughter was among the victims, would you honestly think that the perpetrators deserve to graduate and march up on stage and get the same diploma from one of the premiere high schools in the country despite the gravity of what they did?

there is probably more to this than what the general public is aware of.
something that might have "mitigated" the mis-deed, in the eyes of the higher office.

as a parent of the victim, i would probably want those boys shot in the luneta.
but what we should strive for, is enlightened justice, not revenge.

On the Pisay students, if it's written in the Code of Conduct, then implement it to its fullest degree. Everyone who entered the institution signed into it.

Else just throw the Code of Conduct into the trash bin.

    - - - -

Just like what's ailing our country... We do not implement our laws.. So plunderers and criminals walk free and get elected...

Doc, these kids are not going to be shot.

There's the School Code of Conduct, which they (and I would think their parents, too) fully understood, agreed and signed in, and which should be implemented...

In either case, who should grit their teeth, bow their heads and move on? The offenders or those who have been offended?

no, no one is going to get shot. it was just a hyperbole.

the offended wants to get as much as she can.
the offender also wants to get as much as he can.

someone has to say, "based on the facts of the case, this is as much as i am going to give you, and you.".

now, what are the facts of the case?

Of course, no pound of flesh was being asked.

And no one here probably knows the facts of the case to enlighten everyone.

However, your statement supporting that they're just kids and should only be given the proverbial slap on the wrist is very concerning.

Again who gets to grit their teeth, bow their heads and move on? The offenders or those who were offended?

    let me clarify,

i did not advocate slapping anyone on the wrist. what i did, was to quote someone else's opinion that that was, in the person's opinion, what the boys were getting.

what i am curious about is, why did the two judges give different judgements? if the rules are indeed clear... i would be very curious, for the basis for the differing opinions.

i will render my own judgement, after i am made clear on the complete facts of the case.

What concerns me also is HIGH SCHOOL students are s3xual already?!?! I assume that's how they got the nude photos of their GFs?

I now understand why my Dad didn't want us in coed schools. I know ultimately it comes down to the child's values pero iwas temptation na rin mag BF or GF at such a young age.

cathey nakita ko yung nagwelga. Mukhang mga genuis hindi pang seks video.

Pero nung highschool ako uso na banatan. Mauutak lang kami dahil sa condom. Early 90s yun. Late bloomer pa nga ako eh. Yung mga hustler ko kilala eh sa sauna bath nabinyagan.

Pero ako gf talaga. Pareha kami una. 15years old si girl.

I have several batchmates in the faculty of Pisay right now, plus all of my previous teachers of course, some of which are part if the disciplinary committee. So I can say with certainty that the recommendation for non-graduation is warranted.

    Toplines:
    - Victims were ex-girlfriends of the perpetrators
    - During the course of their relationships, girls sent nudes to boys. Not really shocking, it's gotten quite common with kids nowadays.
    - When they broke up, guys started trading pictures of their exes to other guys.
    - Eventually, things got shared more broadly online. Think of the "Pastor Hokage" craze before.
    - The issue was raised to the Disciplinary Officers of PSHS, and according to the handbook - 1 count of voyeurism is community service, 2 or more counts is expulsion.
    - PSHS counted each time the photo was shared as 1 count, so each boy ended up with several counts, hence the recommendation.
    - Issue was raised to BOT, who counted the entire incident as just 1 count, so only community service was handed down to the boys.

The outrage of alumni and staff is that this whole turn of events goes against the "Pursuit of the Untarnished Truth", which is one of the tenets of the school.

What use is a brilliant mind if it isn't led by a morally-grounded heart.

That's the fundamental problem with the mentality of most people in this country. There are so many rules but very little commitment to follow them. Hence these end up being merely suggestions.

Letting these guys off easy enforces and propagates the status quo.

Even among my AC and Poveda friends, s3x in highschool isn't groundbreaking news.

My AC/Poveda friends are not limited to people my age. Older friends of mine who are professionals and business owners have shared stories of their younger days and it's not that different from when I was in highschool and with kids in highschool these days. Technology has changed a lot but teens have always had raging hormones.
