Mas pogi sa 6 yung clear tints, bro. Disadvantage? Madali ka makilala at yung kasama mo.

Though, i really like to have clear or no tint at all, but due to security concerns ng mga palagi ko kasama (my clients), i can't.

I don't mind being seen outside. I would say that it could be an advantage for me. For example, I can wave my hand as a gesture to say thank you or to request that they give way to me.

My concern is the glare on the windshield. I'm having a hard time to see in the afternoon when comparing it with a dark tint.

Anyone here have experienced a clear tint in the afternoon drive? Any other thoughts about advantages and disadvantages?

Agree. Nothing beats the clear look. I have 3M CR70 all around in one car. There is a lot more glare compared to dark tints but I can use my shades on those extra bright days.

Vkool VK70 is better heat rejection and glare reduction wise.

If I could do it again I'd have used CR50 if it were available.

I have full vk70 and sometimes I drive towards the setting sun. there is a bit of glare. if you dont want glare, get the vk40 or vk55 (not sure if its available)

I agree, nighttime driving is easy when you're not blocking out what available light there is.

In my case I don't mind if I'm slightly seen inside--I actually feel safer that way, and it's easier to communicate via gestures to other drivers, TEs and pedestrians.

Re: Glare. I'm using VK40, which is only a shade or two darker than VK70, so in direct-to-the-eyes sunlight, sunnies and/or the sunvisor would be useful.

I had Vkool VK70 in my previous car, no problems at all when driving in the afternoon. If it gets too bright, I use my shades.

Pros - very good visibility, looks very nice and clean.
Cons - expensive, no privacy, RFID interference and partial GPS signal interference

Biggest con for me is the privacy. I can take naps in my tinted car by the side of the road without worrying about onlookers.

Thank you everyone for the replies. One thing that I didn't consider is the scenario that I'm sleeping insight the car and that clear tint won't be good.

I don't do this regularly and if ever I do it, the engine is off. There was an instance that it was around 1 AM and I was so sleepy so I decided to stop and take a nap. I woke up around 6:30 so I had to drive fast so that I won't be late. That was a good nap!

I think I'll settle for medium tint. Unless someone can suggest a "cover" so that I'll have the privacy while I'm sleeping.

I turned off the engine since it was somewhat cold by that time.

advantage: they can help keep the shattered glass intact.
dis-advantage: it offers no significant privacy.

what is their heat rejection coefficient?
    i do not know.

    fish,

Clear tint with high heat rejection sa panahon ngayon. Peripheral vision is so important lalo na biglang sulpot mga scooting. (to add eh i also uses my ear kaya radio ko tamang volume lang para rinig agad tambucho. My favorite station pala 98.7 classical music. Pag narirnig ko na violin at piano eh lumulutang ako parang i attained the celestial phoenix of a kung fu warrior. That is one up ahead of a dragon warrior.

Going back sa topic. Quality clear tints last for 10years or even more bago bumigay. Worth it na gastos. And if you are "mukhang naligo" eh mas marerelax mga other drivers. Mas mapagbigay.

All window glass today is shatter-proof. They have 3 layers and when they crack or shatter, the outer layers stick to the middle layer to prevent shrapnels from flying around. It's not tint-dependent.

TSER is 55% for VK70. That's even better than the regular medium (20% VLT tint).

You have a funny way of saying things. We listen to the same station, DZFE. I also like jazz, I think it's 105.9 but sometimes the signal is not good.

It seems that clear tints have better heat rejection. I might as well go with this. I just have to look for something that I can use as a cover if ever I'll sleep.

Yes, the signal isn't good. The farther you are from Manila, the worse it will get.
