Perhaps, it's a temperature thing, the way your body reacts to temperature changes on the skin.

Now that I've thought about it, I too can get sick if I get rained on. But, it only happens if the rain is literally the coldest it can get without freezing, between 0C and 1C. I don't always get sick. But, if it's the end of the working day and I'm already fatigued/famished, I'm more susceptible to getting sick. It happened the most during autumn back in New York State, just before the snow started. It's also in New York where I saw snow transition into rain and vice versa with a mere 100 ft change in elevation.

Related to the above is when there is a light rain, the skin pores are still open and the first rain drops are carrying airborne germs. Crowds are a cesspool of germs. Here, it's the schools and campuses. There? Practically, the whole Metro area.

I never got sick once the snow started. The air was always so clean and sterile although quite frigid.

I am so afraid of turning 40. I feel like that would be the end of me, with the way things are going, I am really deteriorating. Abuso kasi ako when I was younger (esp in my 20s).I am not proud of the things I did to my body then. Feeling ko talaga una tatamaan heart, kidney or liver ko.

40s is the best, you have experience and some sort of wisdom under your belt, as long as you take care of yourself and youre healthy, these will be the best years of your life....im nearing my mid 40s, i can still do things like when i was in my 20s....

i am wondering if cold bath has something to do with deaths(cardiac arrest) in the bathroom. could it be that they are shocked with the initial burst of cold water?
my uncle once told me that long time ago, and he was advised by his cardiologist not to do so.

I liked cold showers. It woke me up in a hurry. Also, cold showers in the afternoon weren't that cold. The daytime heating warmed up the tap water.

The only thing I hated about cold showers are the surroundings. The moist environment seemed to attract big hunting spiders. At my aunts' bathrooms, there's always one hiding behind the water drums.

Yup. I remember that well, because my parents would always fight about it. My Dad insists on taking cold baths and his doctor specifically told him not to take cold baths. Tigas ulo His doctor is well respected, and I suppose he knows what he is saying.

Why is there a water drum in the bathroom?

It's really embarrassing because even my managers know this so when I am with them and it is raining, they make sure I stay dry so I don't get sick. Because when I am absent, it will be a problem for them. hehe.

Sometimes, there was no water coming through the tap. My relatives stocked up on as much water as they can. It may come in handy like when taking a dump. Their toilets were flushed the old fashioned way: a bucket of water nearby.

When I visit, one of my chores was to haul water and fill up the drum. Actually, it's my cousin's chore. But, he can't play until his chores are done. So, I help him out.

Oh. Is this in the province? Toilet with no flush? We have one in the province. Just a plain white bowl. Hehe.

Borderline province near Island Cove Resort. It felt way too crowded to be in the province. So, I'll have to say it's an area poorer and not well-kept compared to the subdivisions at LPC/Paranaque. That's not saying much. Even the latter has gone downhill compared to a few decades ago.
