Bro, we have a running gag about underemployed CPAs accepting menial jobs just to make ends meet. It is no longer a glamorous profession since the advent of computerized accounting systems and IT experts. One needs to evolve and become tech-savvy to climb up the career ladder.

BIR kasi is requiring documentation now, if one's professional income is above xxx million.

Nung panahon ng first ever boss ko, 100% passing rate parati sila. She always jokes na kung sino man ang sisira ng record na yan, baka magpakamatay. hahaha! My first ever boss graduated 92 or 93 siguro.

Yung friends ko na CPA (I am the only non CPA in our department), sabi mas madali na ata ngayon, kasi may year na nagulat sila sa dami ng pumasa (less than 5 yrs ago)

Marami ako nababalitaan na bumagsak na ng 3 times sa bar, and just gave up na.

When I took the CPA board exam, we were still using a 24-column pad and had to write manually all the figures and financial statements. Malas lang kung pangit handwriting mo cross agad ang examiner.

Today, it is all multiple choice though computer audit has been added to the questionnaires. Still I tend to believe that it is easier to pass the board exam now as I interviewed a lot of board passers who cannot answer the basic accounting concepts. Nasanay sa multiple choice.

Now I started college with a 1-year stint in medtech hoping to proceed to medical school but memorizing a lot of subjects and latin medical terms proved too much for me. And the rest is history.

I do think na any board exam is easier now than before. Dati kasi tlga may problemsolving at essay pa, unlike ngayon multiple choice, dasalan mo na lng si lord bka tumama pa hula mo haha

For me mas mahirap ngayon, you can't place your correct/wrong answer without solving it. Beside probablity of taking correct answer is very low, 1/4 di ba? Tapos pag solving problem tapos maganda hand writing mo may points sa examiner yun. Sa multiple choice, kung mali, mali talaga.

Tingin ko mas madali ngayon kasi kahit walang alam makakasagot talaga. Tapos yung mga tanong ngayon very basic na daw dahil sa naging advancement sa mga field ang dami biglang topic kaya to compensate for intensive coverage eh dinalian naman difficulty.

Take for example sa civil engg grabe bumabaha ngayon nag all time record kamakailan lang na sobrang daming pasado sa ce board kaya ang baba ng entry level ngayon sa construction dahil over supply na. kakilala ko nga asar na asar kasi ang hirap makagraduate dun tapos dose mil entry level na sweldo hahaha tinalo pa ng BPO. tapos kung icompare mo mga score ngayon grabe halos makaperfect na sila like yung nag top 1 parang 98% na ata score nun compared dati na wala nakakascore ng ganyan, yung chemical engg nga dati wala top 10 sa board dahil lahat below 80%.

Tapos may nakita din ako old picture ng medtech board exams ang bababa din ng score compara sa mga score ngayon na nagliliparan at halos maka perfect..Multiple choice is really easier compared sa no choices, kaya ako pag may exam noon lagi ko talaga pinagdarasal na sana multiple choice kasi nandyan na ang sagot hahanapin na lang unlike sa walang choice eh dapat isuka mo talaga sagot hahaha.

On a 4hr drive to Tianjin airport, my driver is Bit crazy, tailgating the trucks that overtaking the other then suddenly cuts the truck being overtaken with a very narrow opening. Were using the honda accord and the only english words he spoke so far are VERY GOOD CAR[emoji12]

Sheeeeeet!! Grabe sobrang mamimiss ko ang YM. Pwede pa kaya one last login to recover all the archive ng mga messages natin dun? ang dami ko din memories dito lalo pag nakakachat ko mga kaibigan at crush ko noon haha tsaka group chat ng mga section sa high school saya balikan ng panahon puro kulitan. Kunwari pa nag group message pero sa isang tao lang pala isend hehe. Then pag invisible at busy biglang iba- BUZZ!! Gone but never forgotten yahoo messenger nakakaiyak ito.

Ako lang ba naiirita sa mga tao na overly sporty at health buff. I have a friend who was diagnosed with hypertension and diabetes in her early 30s. And I think she is overcompensating now. Everytime we eat out dapat wholesome table or green pastures type of resto. WTF! And all she talks about is gym, running, swimming, biking and ironman. I could see the rest of my friends tune out. It's good to havr a healthy lifestyle but this is bordering obsession. KJ pa pag inuman, lahat mag alcohol tapos siya coffee. Dami ko kilala hypertensive but they still eat normal

But she likes the "healthy" restaurants. And she talks non stop about her healthy living. It's so obvious that the rest of my friends had enough of her stories on her healthy sporty lifestyle. I made her stop when I said I got tired of being thin and DEPRESSED because I barely ate so now I am happier fat and eating everything. LOL. THAT SHUT HER UP. Hahaha
