the statistics on privately owned cars, are different from cars-for-rent.
cars for rent are associated with increased mishaps, perhaps including carnap. thus, these cars should and do command a bigger insurance premium.
by the same reasoning, cars for rent should pay more for LTO registration, because they use the road more, causing more "wear and tear" to the road and associated utilities and service providers.. kaya nga iba dapat ang kulay ng plaka ng vehicles for rent/hire.. which gives us an idea of just how rampant the practice of short-changing our government, is..

Okay now I understand. Hypothetically if the guy reported a carnap and did not declare that the vehicle was rented out, what's the chance of the insurance company finding out?

I still wonder why people would go into this kind of "business" when there are so much reports of carnapping na. I still remember the buy and sell guy that was killed in a supposed test drive of the vehicle.

If the owner didn't declare it as rent a car siguro mabayaran pa. Kaso matindi rin mag imbistiga mga insurer, malalaman at malalaman din ang totoo. Lalo na yan may pinatay pa diba?

Why people go into this kind of business? May market kasi. Lahat naman ng negosyo may risk. Lakasan na lang ng loob.
