if government does not tax significant income, talo gobyerno.

    i wonder,
how much money do these online sellers make?

Hmmm I was looking for a mixing bowl online, it says 1.2k sold. Average price of the bowl is 200p. The seller could have put a marked up of 30% maybe? Not bad, pwede sya pumasok sa 250k BIR mark.

if one looks at the goods the online seller has, it would seem that a number of them are not dealing in commercial numbers.
    "pantawid-aliw" lang.

    but some..
commercial quantity na, commercial variety pa.
    yan ang dapat tutukan.
they are clearly into commercial volume sales, and are not paying one chrome peso in taxes.

    many years ago,
i used to get my photo equipment from this second-hand person. during those days, new cameras were very expensive and in short supply in numbers and in models.
kuwento niya, nag-umpisa siya sa used items that photog friends wanted rid of... and over time, lumaki nang lumaki. kung saan na niya nakukuha yung items, i do not know.
long ad lang sa pahayagan ang advertisement niya (back when newspaper ads were in vogue), and word of mouth.
    one day, biglang nawala.
word has it, sinisiyasat ng bir...
sa totoo naman, thousands of pesos per sale, and not a single resibo...

in contrast, there was this tailor along the lrt. he would advertise this and that from time to time. clearly, small-time. he says his source is his anak who works inside the then-active US naval base.

    memories.

Tama lang yung sa BIR, yung mga big sellers sa Lazada at Shopee, those earn hundreds of thousands even millions a month. I would suppose if they are selling through these companies e they are required to register sa BIR? Marami nga shops online meron talagang physical stores. Meron din started online nagtayo na ng physical stores sa lakas ng kita. Paano kaya yung mga overseas sellers na galing china pa ang products? There is so much money online.

P250K is too low for exemption. If mga 30K monthly or 360K more or lesa na siguro kita na gross pwede na. Pero dapat mga 10% lang ang tax kasi hindi naman pangmalakihang kita yan eh. Laki din gastos.

maraming bayan sellers din. baka raw may kumagat.

...you are thinking of selling your car!

    might i inquire,
year model, last digit, and color pls?

dr, you remembered that post of mine pala No, I have no plans of selling my car. My BFF kasi wants me to buy her 2013 Jazz (she is migrating to the US) She wants me to buy it because she said I am maalaga. I am very flattered but then I have no use for a 3rd car, I don't even use my 10th Gen. I wanna see the price range lang kasi she won't give me a price yet haha

But its seems to me like mataas talaga resale ng 9th gen Altis. I did not expect 15 yr old cars in the 200k range pa

    sa carousel,
pinapa-uit-ulit nila, para magmukhang maraming gumagamit.
tsikot.com sana. but it's so inconvenient to peruse.

Yeah if you buy from the dealership. Each piece of my 18s from Honda costs 18k. Almost the same price as buying a set of 4 rims in Evangelista/Banawe.

Careful with using the word hija ... some overzealous online social media personality wannabees tag it as a condescending word ...
