    hehe, wala ng kwenta ang senate dito. inammend na kasi ng congress ang rules. ginawang 'voting as a whole' na ang 2 houses, instead of 'voting separately'.

    Do not be fooled by muddled interpretations of the term: "The separation of Church and State."

    The true meaning is also the simplest and most literal: that neither entity can use the other to advance its agenda.

    Thus, the concept of 'separation' does not prohibit the clergy from exercising what they view as their right and duty as citizens.

    If there is an opinion that acting as one religious group is wrong... Kindly consider that it is common sense that a group of people acting as one body through religion is no different from a group of people acting as one body through ideology.

    hmmmm.... CBCP ang nagsabi dati na walang impeachment di ba????

    Dahil dun sa ginawa nilang yun... mas madaming oras ang Kongreso na magpasa ng bills at ngayon nagkaroon sila ng time para asikasuhin ang Con Ass....

    If natuloy ang impeachment... kahit talo eto for this year... at least walang time para gawin yang Con Ass na yan...

    [SIZE=2]from what i seen in the past few years any moved to removed the present senate, in my opinion is worth considering.ibigay na lang sana nila sa mga kababayan natin sa bicol at sa mga sundalo nating walang mga maayos na kagamitan ang kanilang pork barrel.lahat naman ng ginagawa nila ay puro in aid of there ambition eh.

    actually... that sort of "help" is the reason why we cannot kill the pork barrel.

    helping those typhoon victims should be done by the executive branch of the government (LGUs & nat'l gov't).

    A good point... seems only a few have a good understanding of how the separation of the state & church works. In the simplest terms, it is the freedom of religion which should prevail. The "laws" of one religion should not be imposed upon all citizens (e.g. banning all clergy regardless of religion from marrying just because the Catholic church has that policy).

    ===

    Kaya ganyan na ang move ng House ay dahil nga nabaril yung unang attempt nila to convene a CA through the People's Initiative. Although it is unconstitutional, it is a bit palatable for more citizens as the CA will be separate from the House.

    Though as I understand in our current constitution, only the House can convene as a CA. So that is the legal way to do it.
