Yes like what angelo said please do check the provincial nominee program if your planning to migrate to canada. It will get you here faster if you meet the requirements. Also keep checking the given website from time to time as they might sometime make some changes.
Not all provinces have the same nominee program so processing time may differ from 1 state to another.

my parents are now in nova scotia with my sisters. ako lang nagpaiwan dito sa toronto kasi nandito yung school na gusto ko.

actually, wala ng fiancee sponsorship ngayon. wala na since 2002, nung naimplement yung new immigration act. magpakasal na lang muna, kahit dito or sa Canada, then apply for a spouse sponsorship.

Good for you and your family sir Glenn. Nova Scotia is a very nice place, I wouldnt mind going there for a vacation, that is kung maiimbitahan niyo ako ng family mo hehe jk. Sa Toronto rin bale kami unang nagland ng wife and kids ko, pero I guess the fast pace of life was too much for us there and we really had no relatives there so we decided to go back home sa Pinas after three weeks of stay with a friend. Six months later after ng matinding brainstorming sinubukan naman namin sa manitoba which was not a bad place to start. Much simpler and hindi gaanong mataas ang standard of living unlike vancouver and toronto. The only bad thing about Manitoba is the weather, pagwinter sobrang lamig, pero pagsummer mga naka2 piece na ang nga tsikabebs sa park......busog ang mga mata.hehe.

I heard from a friend of someone making a business out of it. The fee was like $10,000 dollars for getting married with a citizen or something like that,(not completely sure), tapos divorce after sometime, yun nga lang everything should be hushhush and under the table.Its definitely a loophole that can be used anywhere like in the US and Canada but thats still subject to a lot of things like the immigration officer at the airport whether he'll admit you in or not, tourist visa man or student etc. All Im saying is that its not a sure thing and complications may come up. Ill have to ask my friend about it for the details when he comes back from Pinas on the 6th.

Dito sa Vancouver, kailangan ang records of vaccination ng mga anak mo (if you have one)....required ng School Board. kung kulang ang shots nila, gawan mo na paraan dahil mahal yata dito lalo na yung first three months mo ay di covered ng MSP.

Yup hanggat hindi ka pa nakakalusot sa immigration officer na yon anything can still happen, more so in America than in canada. And the sad part is sometimes its due to racial discrimination . In fact only a week ago I had a friend here who was planning to visit her fiancee in New Jersey just for a vacation. She was born and raised here in Manitoba Canada....went by plane from here to Toronto and by car from Toronto to New York.... Then it happened..... she was denied entry and the reason was according to the officer she didnt have enough documents to prove she was coming back to Canada. She asked what kind of documents they needed and they said something like a pay stub or a note from her employer saying shell be coming back to work which is really absurd :swear: . Who would think of bringing a paystub just to cross the border. And to think her family and relatives are all here in Canada. The worst part is she was asked for her fingerprints and picture like a criminal. So sad, months of planning down the drain. She was alone and got so scared that she cried all the way back home. Up to now she's still devastated.
Now shes asking for help from the filipino government officials here and planning to sue that officer for racial discrimination.

Dapat apply ka kaagad ng health card para libre, I dont know in vancouver pero here in manitoba all you need is your passport and original immigration canada documents to apply.
Yung SIN(Social Insurance Number) and Health Card are among the first things you should apply for when you get here.

yung SIN number ay 35 days na ang hihintayin dito sa ontario.eh kailangan ko na magtrabaho wala parin sin ko...so i couldnt start to work as a regular employee.sobrang bad trip.1 month nanaman ako maghintay.

tutuo nga ,yan din sabi ng mga friend ko na mga nurses sa UK ,pa stable (something like in their Passport or residency)daw muna sila doon ,then later transfer sila sa Canada or some places nila gusto at mataas na rating nila re sa salary papasukan nila like in Dubai or in someother developing country

OT: sa mga familiar na dyan sa canada. somebody is offering me a 160hr/mo job sa diagnostic lab. 2k canadian $ tax free, free accomodation, free ang medical& dental, 2 years ang contract(dati gusto nya 5 pa), round trip ticket and 6 weeks paid vacation annually. wala nang agency na dadaanan, name hire kung tutuusin. ano sa palagay nyo? wala akong gagastusin. moosejaw/regina ang area.

Kano nga ata. Naku sir, kahit puti na Canadian mahigpit pa rin sila. Hindi ko nga alam kung bakit nagkaganito mga ito. Yun nga lang medyo nagoverboard sila sa friend ko to the extent na itreat na parang criminal.

Inis talaga....nadaanan ko rin yan. You cant have 1 without the other. Same goes when applying for credit cards.Expect a hard time to get one...kailangan daw ibuild up ang credit history mo to get approved, but how the heck can you build up your credit history when you dont have a single credit card yet. They wont even count your credit history sa Pinas.

Grabe ang tagal. Hindi ba pwedeng makuha mo agad yung number mo. I think its just the plastic card that will take 35 days but the number designated to you makukuha mo ASAP. Ganon kasi ginawa ko dito when I applied for a job.....all they needed was the 9 digit SIN #. Dinictate lang sa akin yung number ko, yung card to follow daw.

Nagbago nanaman siguro sila ng mga rules diyan. Muntik na rin akong maabutan dito ng bagong revisions nila sa licensing. All I did was showed them my Philippine drivers license tapos oks na raw yon. Ngayon may mga kung anu ano pang refresher course sila sa pagkuha ng license.

Yup SIN and Health Card. Yung SIN bale is used as an identification card to apply for work or when you apply for any goverment benefits.
Yung Health card naman is used to pay for physicians services kapag nagkasakit ka or kahit sino sa mga dependents mo. Medyo mahal ang singil ng mga doktor dito kaya make sure hindi ka magkasakit kung wala ka pa nito once your here.

Also bring your Philippine drivers license along as this is also honored here and will serve as a temporary ID card for new immigrants.

tapos pag labas mo ng airport, punta ka na sa pinakamalapit na ministry kung saan makaka apply ng sin number.wala silang binibigay na temporary sin ngayon.bad trip sobra. kailangan daw hintayin yung ipapadalang card.

Sorry kung off topic na ako, I want to give some input about Australia, remember before Australia is a penal colony na hawak ng mga British lahat ng criminal na galing United Kingdom doon tinatapon, kaya ang mga desendant ng present day Australians na puti criminal ang kanilang mga ancestors, kawawa nga ang mga native born Aborigines the original inhabitans ng Australia talaga they were being discriminated. Talk about hypocrisy. We resent it when other people generalise Filipinos as being maids, carers, or what not; and yet it is ok for us to generalise all white Australians as no-good descendants of ex-convicts. Talk about punishing the son for the sins of the father. Tsk..tsk..

the job offer looks very good to me...but im not sure about the place.imnot familiar with it.
