This summer biglang ang dami ng garapata sa aso ko. Pati sa pader nakikita namin. Ano ba ang effective tick and flea product?

I use Pet Guard tick and flea shampoo and the same brand flea powder but it looks like its not working.

Have you tried using FLEA AWAY brand? meron powder, soap and shampoo. The powder is useful in keep the fleas away between baths, the shampoo/soap kills them when we give the dogs a bath.

available in most supermarkets and some petstores.

Aside from this Bro kailangan madisinfect mo din ang area ng dog mo this is very helpful para ma-eliminate ang fleas and tick. Use zonrox or muriatic to clean the area, in this way mamatay din ang flea and tick na nasa flooring and wall. Ginawa ko ito sa dati sa 3 dogs ko very effective in 2 weeks makikita mo na mawawala ang garapata ng dog mo.

Bro hope this works for you since it worked for me when I had this problem before.

After trying all those branded dog shampoos, in the end it only took one humble detergent to eliminate both fleas and ticks: PERLA

It may not give your dog a softer coat but it does wonders to the parasites!

Of course, you gotta painstakingly SCRUB the places they frequent like walls and cement grounds to eliminate the potential left over bugs and their eggs.

    Good Luck!

lam mo ganyan din ang aso ko, parang panahon ata ng garapata nila kapag summer eh. what i did was i went to a vet tapos binigyan sya ng pinapahid sa katawan dun sa area na maraming fleas. we do it every 2 wks after a bath. tapos binigyan din kami ng spray para sa pader. so far effective naman. but sorry, i forgot the name nun gamot. it cost me P300.

Weird but I tested already. I mixed the dogs, pigs and goats in one shed. The fleas, ticks and lice on both the dogs and pigs gone in a week. Tried placing goat droppings where the infested dogs were at and the same result. That's biodegradable and non toxic!

I use Frontline. All those fleas will start falling off of your dog's coat.

I have this askal before I got married.
Once, it suffered from severe pulgas (yung maliit) and some garapata infestation.
What I did was to give them regular baths using ordinary dog soap from the supermarket.
But what I use in their final rinsing is water where I mashed kakawate (madre de cacao) leaves.
We used kakawate extract in our winning science project in highschool to kill mosquito larvae so I thought, why not use it for pulgas.

It wont kill the pulgas and garapata but it will kill their eggs and the larvae (at least that is my theory). So I basically stopped one generation from growing and reproducing.

Then I flood the surrounding area with the excess kakakwate water to kill some eggs that may have been on the ground.

My askal (RIP) did not have a bath for more than 4 years after I got married but everytime I visit my mother's house, she does not have any smell at all.

Do you know na Yung taba nyan (fats), kinatatakutan din ng cattle (baka, kalabaw)? Once, may nagkatay ng kambing sa province namin. Sinabihan kami ng mga matatanda na hwag naming ikakalat yung pinagtabasan ng karne, lalo na sa daanan ng mga cattle. So, dahil mga bata pa, out of curiosity & to have some proof, we scattered a few pieces of fats (secretly, isinabit sa mga shrubs), sa daanan ng mga kalabaw.
Ha ha. Totoo pala. Kahit anong palo nung sakay nung kalabaw, ayaw umabante nung alaga nya, at nakataas yung ulo at tenga na parang galit.
