Eating breakfast in Crowne Plaza Changi next to 2 white guys wearing all Alpinestars apparel and luggage. One had a spanish accent and the other Italian. They stand up to leave and then I see Yamaha on their jackets.

Then Valentino Rossi comes over with a big guy. Coffee nearly comes out of my nose.

Big dude says "¡Vamos!" and that was it.

Best. Breakfast. Ever.

Why do a lot of parents think that way kaya. My Aunt wanted me to go to the US for college (she will pay) but I dodged that. Now my family is forcing me to move to the US with the same reasoning (better opportunities) e I'm happy naman working for my boss.

I cant speak for others...but for myself:

1. Opportunities here are 100x better
2. Hard work is rewarded with very very decent pay unlike in manila
3. Starting salaries here (silicon valley) for decent jobs are very good (8k ++ a month) for someone with little experience
4. My children will have an opportunity to carve a trail for themselves. They wont need a lot of luck...just hard work. Unlike back home where luck plays a big role in a career employee's life.
5. They are american citizens...might as well work in the #1 economy in the world.
