October 27th, 2021 10:13 AM #25881driving to work used to be a 30-minute leisurely drive.
yesterday,
driving my usual route,
we can't cross buendia corner bautista! buendia being cemented.
turning back, we tried dominga, but it took considerable waiting as buendia traffic was horrendous, due to the same buendia cementing.
we didn't try the parallel road crossings, as i already knew from the weekend, that the roads were one-lane-only, also because of cementing.
crossing vito cruz, it was traffic sa taft. container vans and provincial buses have taken to maneuvering along taft, a matter of right.
also, the segment just before vito cruz intersection is always cramped, what with that immortal roadwork at the side.
turning to parallel street donada, traffic rin, because of near-immortal vito cruz road works.
turning back again, we went to roxas blvd, which was what we had originally planned to do, but thought otherwise at the last moment.
traffic was present, but it was moving. there was some roadwork near CCP, which, youngsters might suspect, is as old as the CCP structure.
we got to work after one and a half hours.
so it seems, roxas blvd will be our to-and-fro route for some weeks to come.
south superhighway is another possibility, but container trucks using it come in waves. malas tayo if we are caught in one such wave.
btw, avoid UN avenue between taft and roxas blvd. it's being dug up along its length. one way only, in the direction of roxas blvd.
ang nakaka-inis,
i do not see consistent activity on these roads-under-fixing. para bang hinihintay dumating ang something...
why can't government do gung-ho work on one project, finishing it first, before doing another project? para naman hindi ma-traffic...
in summary,
all five routes to work, have some amount of manmade obstruction, that, i believe, can be minimized, if only those responsible will only take it upon themselves to do something about the problem.

October 27th, 2021 12:31 PM #25883taft corner san andres, manila.
yung hukay sa corner mismo, effectively blocking right-turners coming from pasay.
it has effectively reduced the northbound lanes to only two... one and a half, kung bus o trak.
more than 6 months na.
i swear i never saw any worker there...

I bought solar Christmas lights from shopee and spent 2 hrs trying to untangle it. I gave up na. I really matured because the younger cathy would have ripped those lights to shreds hahaha

PH government na walang kwenta. LAHAT INEFFICIENT. It's really no wonder people even people with comfortable lives here are leaving this country. Grabe brain drain dito sa Pilipinas. If you want to get things done kailangan maghanap pa ng kakilala.
WTF! I don't even need this vax cert but if I did, paano na lang? I can't fathom how these people with tickets but without the certificate feel when US suddenly came out with this requirement.
