the road was already there, back when life was simpler.

for example,
when i was much younger,
half these roads didn't have, and didn't need, stoplights.

gaano ba ka hirap i re-mount o ipihit yung traffic light na ang pula ang nasa taas??? nung nasa china ako inaalis nila yan kase nag eexperiment sila ng self driving cars at kailangan standard ang layout ng lahat ng traffic lights tska matindi ang NCAP dun kase nga factory sila ng CCTV at wala daw patawad ang NCAP kase computer ang nang dedesisyon kase napaka ayos ng kalsada nila, lahat ng marking visible at human error na lang talaga ang pwede cause ng NCAP violation...

i do not recall any horizontal stoplight, along my driving route.
but that may be because i am not unduly hampered by its design.

i'm not confused, naman.
vertical or horizontal, malinaw naman siguro, kung anong kulay nang stoplight ang naka-ilaw.
ibang usapan na yan, kung the driver is color-blind, and the lights are not arranged in the prescribed pattern.

example shaw blvrd cor san roque street sa pasig heading sm megamall, hindi ko alam kung dinadaanan yan ng truck. i have prescrption glasses kaya sureball malinaw mata ko when driving, kase nga malayo pa lang gusto ko nasa tama linya ako ng kalsada kaya malayo pa lang tinitignan ko ang layout ng traffic light kung meron ba siya forced left turn o wala... hindi tulad nung iba na nakita na may forced left turn ang traffic light pero nasa leftmost lane pa din na yun pala ay dederetso sila ng andar...

nung nakita ko yan horizontal traffic light sa malayo ay ang una pumasok sa isip ko ay sa nag daan bagyo ay natangal yung parte niya sa taas nung naka ilaw yung green kase nga rare yan mga horizontal traffic light sa metro manila... kaya confusing

nakaka inis yung mga syudad na gumagamit ng non standard layout ng traffic light, kase malayo pa lang tinitignan ko na yan kung meron ba forced left turn o wala...

Parang sa intersection ito ng Mercedes at Market Ave sa Pasig. Di ako nadadaan dito ng rush hour. Pero pag nadaan ako jan (mostly tanghali na), hindi naman forced ang left turn.

Sa Bagong Ilog din horizontal ang stoplight. Same sa may Pasig Cathedral.

this traffic light is saying the left lane must turn LEFT on a 3 lane street

on a 2 lane street naman, it is saying that there is a left turn available and is possibly in sync with forward direction or not kaya if you have no intentions to turn LEFT then go to the right side

i combed thru the LTO rules, looking for "double-banked stoplights with left-turn arrow lights, automatically reserving leftmost lane for left-turners only".
