Where do you live and where do you work? Have you considered finding work closer to home, or living closer to work?

Jut is correct. This is spanish inquisition era torture on a daily basis. 7 hours commute daily? What life remains after work and the commute?

I ask the same question, why? Is there nothing you can revise in your schedule to consistently give you 6 hrs of sleep?

I've read far too many studies of poor health caused by habitual lack of sleep. Yet oddly, people are so strict about getting the right number of meals per day but seem to wear their lack of sleep like a badge of courage. Both sustenance and rest are equally important in your overall health.

*BratPAQ - layo naman ng tinitirahan mo. It's like 4 hours travel to work then another 4 hours going home. Sa Bulacan or Pampanga or Batangas ka ba nakatira?

That's true. 15 mins to and from within Makati during rush hour is not possible unless you walk.

When I first started working again, I would cry driving to and from the office because i hated the traffic. Just getting out of the parking to dela Rosa to turn at Paseo at 6 pm would take me 30 mins. That is a few meters lang. What a nightmare. That's why I am so thankful my boss lets me come in during off peak hours.

This is my parents rule. I can only study or work near home. I was not even allowed to consider Uni in QC (such as Ateneo!) But now I'm really thankful they imposed this on me.

My office used to be in Ortigas, mid 2000s it was still a breeze to drive, now I won't even consider it. Parang wala ng off peak ang EDSA.

Sira talaga quality of life ng tao dahil sa traffic sa MM

Bacoor to QC. Big part of it is walking and waiting in line. That's why I think it'll shorten a lot when I get to drive again. It used to be 2 hours each way when I was driving.

If you can remember few years ago pag friday 10pm DPWH would start road constructions because by that time the traffic is already light. Today kahit 11pm na, sometimes even 12 midnight crawling pa rin edsa.

I don't care what other say about "quality of life" your job is what providing for your family. I'm sure opportunity is lesser in Cavite, so it's not an option while leasing a dorm would mean no quality time with your children. I'd rather have little time with them than none at all.

Your commute is a needed sacrifice to provide for your family.

It's like OFWs. They need to go out of the country to provide for their families.

Who wouldn't like to be in big's shoes. Walking distance to work. But reality bites.

Kaya idol talaga ni mini kuya niya eh.

well, eating out is not bad per se, just an observation, example slex southbound, shell in most days is just a 30mins drive from bicutan, we'll drop by starbucks to get an americano, less than an hour i just had coffee..my daughter will grab a box of bibingkinitan..the wife buti kape nalang din sya...im saying is, whats so special about the food sa gasoline stations? its just the same old, same old fast food..if it was a hole in a wall pit stop like aling pinas in silang, that i will understand....do we really need to eat everytime there is an opportunity even though its the same food we see at the malls? i can understand josephine's but having cravings for conggee coz were gonna pass chowking at the next gasoline station is different..

if youre driving/sitting for 5hrs..its indeed taxing but once you use a heart rate monitor which most smart watches have, it will say that driving and lying down at home equates almost the same caloric expenditure, if you have an s3 gear, it will alert you to stand up and move a bit, youve been idle for too long, driving doesnt raise the HR at much to make it really physical..

BGC to Mandaluyong at around 4pm takes around 30 minutes. It can get longer past 5pm.

Bakit ka badtrip today?
