    Nahh no need.

Ok na yung motorcycle lane. Bikes aren't that "hazardous" as compared to motorcycles.

    natumbok mo pre.

nasa planning yan. pero sabi ko nga magaling naman ang pinoy sa planning. mahina lang sa implementation.

dine sa place ko abroad, may ginagawa silang kalasada. minor street lang na pwede nilang gawing 4 lanes for vehicles. pero ang ginawa nila 2 lanes for vehicles, then 2 lanes as sidewalk and probably for bicycles (one lane at each side of the road). lapad ng sidewalk nila.

    sa atin malabo mangyari yun.

pero despite this, I'm all for bicycle lanes. piliin na lang yung kalsada at route na safe sa bikers at the ibang motorists. again planning!!!

To retrofit a bike lane into existing narrow-laned roads will be either difficult or impossible. In the end, it would just result in more congestion problems. If you want (exclusive) bike lanes, it has done at the planning stage for roads.

Sorry to say, I am against this "bike-lane" drive as it is. It is short sighted, half-baked and lacks wider scale planning to make it potentially effective.

Napakapangit kasi ng mga kalsada natin. Di suitable ang bike lanes. Kung meron mang pwedeng lagyan, iilan lang.

If you ask me, the bike lanes should not be along the road but through parks and pedestrian walkways.

MMDA tried bike lanes in QC before. All we got was one mess of painted lines on the designated streets which were already narrow to begin with.

Bike lanes - one vote from me. It will make the roads safer for the bicycle riding people. If it is only safe to commute to work daily, I would gladly leave the car at home and ride a bike to work. Exercise and good for the environment.

With our narrow roads, undisciplined drivers, especially PUV drivers, and also unruly pedestrians, it will just do more harm than good.

As long as the bike lanes will still use the same physical road with only a painted line to separate them from the cars, trucks and buses using the same road, it will never be any safer. The only way it would be safer is if the bike will have their own lane physically separate from the road, like to build the bike lane parallel to foot paths and pedestrian walks. Any less would just be deluding ourselves that it would be "safer".

+1. Like the ones in Marikina.

Biking on the road with cars is pretty dangerous. Especially with the quality of drivers we have here.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

yes. overtaking vehicles will only use this lane. dapat talaga separate or may barrier but with our narrow roads, wala ng space. im an avid biker but bike lanes are still not doable in most of our roads
