hindi naman nakakatipid ang bike lanes eh bukod nasa gagastusin ng gobyerno sa infrastructure, yun mga nag-babike din din naman makakatipid kasi ilang damit kelangan mo dalhin to work, yun pang-bike, tapos yun pang-office. so dalawang labahan din, unless comfortable kayo pumasok ng office amoy araw.

sa tubig lang na mauubos ng mga bikers sa labada, di ko alam kumbakit di nila ma-compute. tapos syempre nagbike ka, lose calories. so lagi lamon to the max yan. so ganun din mapapalakas ka lang kumain.

yan mga misplaced priorities na yan in guise of going green. kung gusto nyo mag-bike like China, palamigin nyo muna Pilipinas noh.

    ---
palpak pa productivity mo dyan, kasi bukod nasa pagod ka umaga pa lang, stressed na katawan mo and you will never be efficient at work. kung ako supervisor, i-discriminate ko mga employees na nag-bike sa work, unless as in tipong 5 blocks away lang sya nakatira.

nah, some people at the office bike all the way to work. i know little of them but they sure look very fit to me. this female designer is hawt, sure she stinks before she takes a shower at work but she looks great with her helmet and shorts on. i sure wish i could steal a snapshot of her one time, anyways, some folks on two wheels are cool so i agree they should have their own lane. unfortunately, we don't have that infrastructure to accommodate a minority's safety requirement. heck, even street vendors and peds fight daily for that sliver of space alongside moving vehicles. perhaps areas around malls and parks may be able to squeeze in that lane to ease traffic and improve the urban aesthetic

Just signed up. Too bad only 355 have signed up for the petition. Very far from the 10,000+ Tour of the Fireflies attendance last year.

at this day and age, bikes are a thing of the past. there is a reason why Henry Ford invented the autmobile in the late 1800's to replace bikes. and there is a reason why horses were replaced by bikes. ibig sabihin they are phased out.

    ---

kung gusto nyo bike lane, i-lobby nyo na kagad sa congress dun sa Clark and Sta Rosa and other special economic zones para magkarun kagad ng planning. dito kasi sa Manila para unrealistic eh, parang nag-green kuno lng para mapansin lang ba. o nakaranas ng konti relief sa pawis sa pagbaba-bike eh kelangan eh yun na ang tama. hello, i perspire in the gym everyday, I am more fit than those bikers who climb sierra madre with their SUVs and bike rack and MTB as bike gears.

imagine para lang pumayat, halos P100,000K+ na nagastos , eh sa gym la pang 20K / month. tapos wala din nman pumapayat kasi hindi naman talaga effective ang weekend biking. exercise and getting fit cannot be resolved during free times and weekends. living healthy is a lifestyle.

Just drove across the "Sunday cycling zone" that is Emerald Ave in Ortigas Ave and peeked to see how many people are there. So few people enjoying the "fresh air".

I cannot see how a dozen or so people cycling in circles can justify closing a major road in Ortigas Center.
