^being rich also means you have access to modern medicine

but as humans, you also need to take care of your health, be it rich or poor
Damn, son! Where'd you find this?

i dont understand this kind of life they're living. they have millions and yet they live like a rat. but i wont question it either, it's their life.

pero ako i learned a very important lesson about life. kahit gano kalaki ang pera mo if you dont put it to good use, uubusin yan sa'yo, either in some unforeseen crisis sayo or sa family mo. nature has its way of knowing who is hoarding resources. pag nagripuhan ka ng nature, nakow. or you can outsmart nature but to what expense? you'll live your life in paranoia thinking, strategizing ways of how to secure your money. and I guess most Chinese are like that.

basta ang natutunan ko, experience experience experience. before i wanted a sedan, then a van, then a pickup, then a CUV, then a Big diesel SUV. ngaun none of those things i care about, kasi na-experience ko na, i lost money and a lot too pero na-experience ko naman owning almost all types of cars. and now i think for one can surive a rugged car with no airbags or 21th century amenities. kaya nga na-picture ko sarili ko sa jimny eh

only a few people can do this. and it will require a lot of discipline. kasi being rich means having so many resources. and how can one control consumption

pag nakakakita ako ng mga rich tycoons sa tv whether local or international, ang una ko tinitignan ang katawan nila. if they're fat or obese, sorry but i dont admire them. that will kill them earlier and kahit they have all the best doctors and billions in the world, that won't save them.

^Hindi ba karamihan ng mayayaman they look good kasi they have the money for a personal trainer and chef. They could afford to exercise the whole day or play sports unlike us employees who barely have time to take care of ourselves.

    OB, you don't get it

one difference between Chinese and Pinoys is Pinoys do not think about sustainability

a pinoy who becomes wealthy will live life to the max

he will want to experience everything (cars, big house, food, travel, other pleasures) coz the thinking is -- you only live once

so wealth is squandered, back to zero, isip uli ng bagong racket

well, at least na-experience niya ang good life

    accurate ba description ko?

    dami pinoy ganyan

mahirap, guminhawa, waldas, naghirap uli, kayod, guminhawa uli, waldas uli

the Chinese have a different view

    the Chinese are after SUSTAINABILITY

they may have tons of money but they don't go spending like crazy

they think years, decades into the future

they choose a lifestyle that they can sustain for generations

kaya pansin mo Chinese-owned businesses last a long time

there are Chinese-owned businesses that have been around for generations

business ng lolo, napunta sa tatay, napunta sa apo

    sustainability dude

the Chinese try to avoid rollercoaster finances (rising and falling fortunes)

    their lives are steady

hindi yung hirap ginhawa hirap ginhawa

that's what you're not doing OB

sa mga posts mo, it's obvious you have rollercoaster finances

    your businesses don't last

your businesses are hit and run business

    but hey, that's your style

people who are have higher income and higher education have higher life expectancy

know why you keep saying that?

coz you can't control consumption when you have the means

that's why you always have rollercoaster finances

when you make money, you spend like crazy

you eat like crazy then exercise like crazy to get back in shape

not everyone is similar to you dude

yes i know there are always exceptions

i'm only generalizing the same way OB is generalizing that all rich people are fat and unhealthy and that people who have resources have no self control

I'm rich with friends and family.

Money? Probably good enough. I have a nice play to stay, an okay-car to drive and we enjoy a week-to-week getaway in any place we choose. And oh, we pay our credit card dues on time.

Rich? Maybe no, but very happy with our current status - which I think is the most important aspect.

Maraming mayaman dyan, wasting money on drugs, women and gambling. Give them a few years and they'll be thinking so hard it hurts, that they're losing a little portion of their so called happiness...until they dry the s**t out.

Again I want to re-iterate that being rich and having quality life is not contradicting to each other... One can have both!
