    definitely not a fad. although i don't think "babysitter" was what the innovators had in mind when they made it.

    It's a device just like any other. I remember around 2011 to 2012 when some journalists gleefully predicted tablets will cause desktop PCs to be extinct by 2016.

    Well, it's 2019 and guess what? Desktop PCs are still very much here.

    That said, I like my iPad Mini for surfing the web at the mall or while sitting down on the toilet.
