Anyone into model car collection?

just added a couple of cars to my collection - a black pearl Carrera GT and a black Lambo Countach.

i'm looking for the following cars to add to my collection next:

Aston Martin Vanquish (ayoko yung James Bond version na madaming ek-ek)
BMW M3 GTR
new BMW M5 (may ganito na ba?)
Range Rover Sport

Maisto yung fave ko. Have around 20+ of the 1:18, isa lang Bburago.

Whoa! What a grand collection you have there sir Monseratto! I'm all green just inspecting everybit of the photo. How long did you put all that together? I'm just a wanabe collector of sports and supercars diecasts and I would usually hunt down theses babies in autoshows for discounts. I also buy as often as I could Tamiya magazine for enthusiast modellers which is a good source of info and ref. I find the Maisto replicas as detailed as possible to the real thing compared with Bburagos.

Awesome collection Monseratto! Love the F1 Ferrari set. I have yet to get into the F1 line-ups, only a few F1's so far... Thanks for the pics.

Well, here is a few of my 1:18's. Its been a little over a year since I started collecting. To my surprise, its been quite addicting. Sometimes I collect 2 or 3 of the same car/same color, or same car in a different color, depende if its on sale. Naka display ito sa lounge area, yong iba naka display sa ibang office. I keep them clean and dusted once a month since most are out of the box. Yong nasa box naka seal are (doubles/same cars), in case I will sell when they're worth more in value. By next year, baka pagawa ako custom glass shelving case with mini spot lighting, holds up to 500 cars, just to be safe hehe...

The last photo was taken on May of this year. More cars were added and have yet taken any pics at all. In addition, I recently started collecting small match box size, Ferrari and other exotics mainly.

Wow ang ganda ng mga collections ninyo! Parang gusto ko tuloy mag-kolekta, kaso wala akong paglalagyan.

Meron akong 1:18 Maisto na 911 kaso puti, tsaka regalo lang ng misis ko. May plastic na 1:24 from Tamiya na binuo ko kaso nabali ang isang side mirror GRRR. At may remote control na VW, 1:24 din yata yun. Iniwan ko lahat sa Pilipinas.

And then of course the Matchbox from the old days...nothing special.

Very sick sir Bhane, very sick. And yet I don't see any Macca in there, or Bugattis, and even Astons. What's the deal, man? My prize possession will always be the MacF1 even if I also have the GT, and I'm prowling and hunting currently for any Zondas down here in the Manila. I should've bought that Motormax made I found in a NY shop last year. Any shops I can go to fellow tsikoteers?

*Helios, I think merong mga Motormax sa Festival Mall. Baka maka jackpot ka ng hinahanap mo. In fact, halos puro Motormax yong brand nila. Meron pa ngang DMC (Back to the Future) akong nakita. di ko lang po type ang Motormax, di ako napupuliduhan sa gawa, unlike Autoart, Kyosho.

Maraming salamat sa inyo lahat po hehe... My first 1:18 was a gift, a Porsche 911 Roadster, this is where my interest in 1:18s started. I found myself countless hours browsing thru Ebay and few online diecast store. I knew then I caught "the bug", I went on a collection frenzy. However, I didnt realize there are many different brands, price range, and quality build. I started collecting Maistos, HW, and Bburago. Later on AutoArt and other brands. To me its not about the brand, I simply wanted a particular model in my line up. Thru my collection, I found several warehouses and hobby shops in my area. I called to see if I could purchase direct, once im there I pick out the cars I want, then offer a deal. Im gradualy working my way to collecting the quality brands, kaya lang I need to save some $$ Its been 3 months since my last purchase, recoop muna hehe. Last night I checked Ebay, lumabas na pala F430 in Blue and Black. Also the SuperAmerica is out as well!


*M54Powered, I have 3 Challenge Stradales, kaya lang one I sent to Pinas, one I have here on display, the other will be sent out for custom paint. I can check the warehouse where I got it from kong meron pa. The CS cost about $32-$40, I got mine for $14 each depende on the deal. Also, naging member ako sa Mattel, may malaki Mattel distribution warehouse in my area, prices are marked down, sealed in box. All models in their inventory vary, depends on whatever they have over stocked for that week. Last time I was there, 612 Scaglietti for $8 lang. PM lang kita on any info.

*Helios, Yeah, I know.. I should've at least have a F1 McLaren. I just checked my shelves, May isa pala akong AM-DB9, I forgot about that, lost track hehe. I can give you info where I got my cars from, possibly work out a deal. As of Pinas, wala akong contact dyan. During my vacation dyan, I saw several 1:18s AutoArt, price is almost and about the same dito sa US. You mentioned GT, you reffering GT Ford ba?


*Bunge, kamusta! I dont know how many, lost count. Iba nasa storage, iba sa other office, just last month I found 2 Porsche in my cars trunk, so busy nalimutan ko. Most cars are spent with my company funds. I use these 1:18 cars as refference before I work on the real cars, just to get that 3D visual.

yup, it's Ford alright. the only car I shipped with me from Sydney was the F1, the rest has to stay back tucked inside their nifty lil boxes. I placed the F1 along with my champion wine inside a special crate and paid a premium price for it, while I just shipped my samurai swords in an ordinary box

sir Bunge where can I find Autoart pieces locally? I saw one in ebay, oks kaya yun?
