Actually may "mild" side naman ang pagluto ng pinikpikan..it has been a Cordilleran tradition to cook and serve this kind of dish..
there is this preparation where the chicken is killed straight at sinusunog lang yung feathers pero hindi na po siya pinapahirapan..then iluluto na tinola style (with sayote or papaya)..
Maalala ko din yung issue sa Mcdonald's noon kung saan yung mga kakatayin nilang chicken eh nakakulong sa masikip na kulungan under very humid and cramped conditions..animal activists raised a howl of protest about this.. pero sa pinikpikan naman eh hindi lahat ng preparation eh ganon kalupit..

pa-order pa nga ng isang bowl na pinikpikan hehehe
pero masarap sya, first time ko nakatikim ng pinikpikan , kaya salamat kay funkngruven.
malalasahan mo talaga yung manok.
