Hmmph ...pwe!
exactly. foundations nang physics ang algebra, trigonometry and later on chemistry.. e si MacGyver physicist. during my college days at an engineering school i overheard, kung b.s. physics ka, para ka na ring nag engineering.Originally Posted by Pu**y

Nagagamit naman in daily life ang mga iyan.
Kapag may mga DIY-projects ako, when computing the correct gear ratio for a certain tire size, computing project costs, computing tire sizes, deriving torque, etc.
Minsan lang hindi na natin napapansin.

i agree. sometimes, you use it without knowing. ang tawag namin dyan nung engineering students pa kami, pampaluwag nang utak. eventually, i got the point. mas madali nga mag-isip at mag-formulate nang logic sa pang-araw araw na buhay...
Especially off-road. Velocity, approach angle, departure angle, break over angle, center of gravity, etc.

the other 50%, by being problem solvers, can solve that problem. sila na gagawa ng paraan if they want to learn physics, chemistry, trigo. hindi naman closed doors na sa lahat, gawin lang elective.Originally Posted by A121

trigo? useless?
ako nga pati boolean algebra inaral ko nun college eh. pag nababanggit ko sa mga friends ko after college, "nambobolean" lang daw ako. wala naman daw ganun. buti pa yun 26th and 27th richest men in the world sineryoso ito boolean algebra subject. now they have google.
If you can get me a complete address, I will write this guy. Please PM me.
chemistry--is everywhere..daming applications nito hindi lang natin napapansin..also this subject is not hard as it seems..believe me-studied it for 4years...![]()
Originally Posted by fortuner13
If we are going to read CAREFULLY the article posted by the thread starter, Escudero is proposing removing the said subjects in ELEMENTARY and SECONDARY education (BUT NOT IN COLLEGE).

Dapat ang estudyante well-rounded na.
I see the point of chiz escudero here. It's more towards practicality...

Malamang he hated those subjects, kaya he wanted them removed. O di kaya he wanted the people to be stupid and dumb para nobody would question his acts
foundation.... nothing else. papano magiging well rounded, eh nangangapa pa, college na!Originally Posted by resmile

I'm another man fed up with Escudero popping up when the news is about politics... and now I'm getting more fed up of him as he even tries to propose a non-productive asset for the young Filipino mind. If I were to compare him to my happy-go-lucky HS batchmates, he's exactly the same! Trying too much to make a name for themselves by blabbing that they start talking nonsense...
And yes, indeed there are those who just don't like these subjects but they have to face the fact that these contributes to much of what is happening in everyday living. They may not be practical for conversational purposes but they are what constitutes a man's opinion to why something happened (Why airbags did not deploy, why a building in Mexico did not budge during the earthquake, why the vehicle running at the back of another vehicle runs faster, how much would you gain from the interest rate of the bank annually, why oil prices keep increasing, etc.)...
