    Pagtanggal ng algebra, trigonometry, chemistry sa school ipinanukala


    IPINANUKALA kahapon ni House Minority Leader at Sorsogon Rep. Francis ‘Chiz’ Escudero na rebisahin ang kurikulum sa elementarya at sekondarya sa pamamagitan ng pagbabawas ng mga paksa, kabilang ang Algebra, Trigonometry, Chemistry at iba dahil hindi nakakatulong sa paghahanap ng mga mag-aaral ng trabaho sa hinaharap.

    Sinabi ni Escudero, secretary-general ng United Opposition (UNO), na dapat simpleng arithmetic na lamang ang ituro sa mga mag-aaral at hayaan ang mga estudyante sa kolehiyo na matuto ng mga kumplikadong paksa sa matematika at siyensa na konektado sa kanilang kurso kasabay ng pagbasura sa pagsasaulo ng table of elements sa Chemistry.

    Naniniwala si Escudero na lubhang kuba na ang mga estudyante sa pagbubuhat ng sandamakmak na textbooks at masyadong mahaba ang pananatili nila sa eskuwelahan.

    “Panukala lamang naman po ito na hangad naming pag-aralan, may mga paksa na hindi naman talaga konektado sa paghahanap ng trabaho. Bakit natin pinahihirapan ang mga estudyante?” tanong ni Escudero.

    ewan ko kung matatawa ako or what.

    eh maraming General Education subject/classes na hindi naman konektado sa paghahanap ng trabaho or sa major sa kolehiyo, eh di alisin na din yon? :evillaugh

    kelan pa matututo ng trig, algebra, chem ang mga iyan? kapag matanda na at mas mahirap na ma-retain ang subject? amf, ayuf!

    Chiz has no juice left in his brain and he's going nuts. Maybe because of his frustration to impeach GMA and he has nothing to say anymore. Soon he will say that the Education budget is so big and needed to be cut down or teachers should not be re-educated anymore because it's just a waste of money or Secretay Lapus is just to good for the post or Binay should be the Education secretary. What a pathetic guy.

    Dapat magpanukala na rin sya na yung mga walang silbing congresista ay tanggalin na rin dahil pabigat lang sila sa taong bayan. Gastos lang sila. Pero malabo, kasi makakasama sya.

    di yata OK yun, ang tinuturo naman sa elementary at high school ay basic lang, at very essential ito pagdating mo sa college and also sa work nagagamit ang mga ito. ang nangyari kasi ngayon lahat ng mathematical expressions at formulas ay naka program na sa mga computers.

    algebra, trigo, and chem is used in everyday life. ba't siya tatanggalin?

    I don't believe this shyte!

    Algebra! hindi kailangan? deym.

    Obviously that SOB Escudero don't know that Algebra is the very foundation of mathematics, no matter if it's calculus, trigonometry or simple accounting. You won't be able to solve/understand other branches of mathematics or science if you don't have a good foundation in Algebra.

    Algebra, hindi nakakatulong sa paghahanap ng trabaho?! Wow! where did that came from.... geez

    A lot of new college graduates today can't get jobs because they can't pass tests given to them because they can't solve and understand very simple algebra problems.

    This makes my blood boil

    Yah! that's true! because of the new softwares in computers mathematics made easy! like an accounting packages software, just input a raw data then the computers do all the computation needed...

    What is this guy smoking?

    The reason for these subjects is so that students will learn how to think, not just memorize stuff.

    It seems thinking is not necessary when one is a congressman.

    For congressmen, its easy. All they need to know is how to count to 100 then just add 6 zeroes.

    At heto pa congressman... hindi mo ba alam na medyo nangungulelat na tayo sa survey dito sa Asia kung Mathematics ang pinag-uusapan? Kahit panukala lang yan, still not a wise move from a "decent" person!!!
