kapag tinax na sa ibang bansa, hindi na dapat taxan sa pinas, double taxation yun. hindi ba?
I thought ang taxable kay PacMan is yung local income nya, income from US is not taxable dahil nagbayad na sya tax sa US.
Also walang tax ang OFW dahil dollar earners?

    Tama ka riyan, bro...

There should be no double taxation.... at least in principle.

May tax ang OFWs,- sa embassy nila binabayaran.... Mas mababa nga lang ang rate,- compared sa "local tax"....

Nope. From the BIR's point of view, they still want their cut of the loot...este... inheritance.

The tax paid to the US only goes to the US so it doesn't mean sh!t to the BIR.

OFW still pay tax but at a different rate.

But getting an inheritance is a different thing. I don't think the OFW clause covers it so it is subject to the full inheritance tax rate.

Bro.,- let me caution you though that this is based on my limited personal experience as OFW(land-based only) for a couple of years in the ME years ago....

Things could have changed over the years.... Maybe, bro.yebo or christmarte can comment here.

afaik, you get taxed in the country where you made the money...so i guess if Manny fought in Vegas, technically he made money in the US, and must pay taxes to the US gov't.

alam ko me inheritance tax yan -- i.e. mamamatay ka na nga, bubuwisan pa yung ipapamana mo
