There is a farm I go to where the owner constructed these for his employees. Looks really nice, rustic & sturdy. Cons are, the houses are not well insulated for heat and noise, ventilation is not good & since the floor is elevated, you can hear the footsteps. I think electricity bills will be high. If these were in a place like Baguio or Tagaytay, it would be better.

first question asked of me, many years ago, when i was contemplating one such,
"does the intended locale lend to big vehicle delivery?

    maybe prefabricateds are an option?

Maraming videos sa YT explaining why it isn't suitable. Issues such as insulation, structural integrity, chemical residue (from weatherproofing the container), etc.

Ok lang talaga ganyan for temporary housing and office sa mga offsite job sites.

Or if may malaking farm ka sa malayo, pwede din as mini resthouse.

I wanted to make a small house/mancave out of a shipping container but my father who used to work for a cargo company talked me out of it because of the above.

Temporary office ko dati ay 20ft container van, nilagyan ko ng 2.5hp na aircon malamig lang sa gabi. Pag tanghali na sobra init hindi na kaya ng aircon. Pag tagulan naman puro tulo sa frame ng bintana.

only benefit I can see is that tipid ka sa foundation ng bahay.

everything else naman (insulation, cleaning, noise etc) may solution.

pero napag-isip ako sa post ni dr. d earlier... paano makakarating yung container sa destination?

    well,
there's the jacinto bahay tibay pre-fabriccated homes.
    185K daw for a 24 sqm facility.

it probably won't win a beauty contest,
    but it'll keep you dry.
