July 16th, 2011 04:48 AM #1099Harry Potter 7.5 3D at Megamall. Still undecided on whether it was good or not since they took quite a lot of liberties with the material. Maybe I'm being a purist; I may have to watch it again with a more open mind to fully appreciate the movie.
Still, IMO Alfonso Cuaron should've directed the series from the 3rd movie.

I never took interest in this film before as I thought it was meant just to titillate, but after catching it on HBO, it turns out that it had a deeper dimensione. It was just prophetic the way the world views voyeurism. During the early 90s voyeurism was perversion, now it's recreation or entertainment with the proliferation of reality shows that all started with survivor in 2000. In a matter of less than a decade the taboo has become the norm
William Baldwin's character was already capturing his *** escapades on film in the 90s back when it was the sole province of the moneyed and technically saavy. Now, even the so called urban poor have digital cameras. We're living in a world of cameras. So always put on a smile because you'll never know when you're being captured on camera. It's a scary thought.
Anyway, the film really appeals to me - who doesn't want to watch beautiful people at their most intimate and unguarded moments. I think this is where Sharon Stone was at her most beautiful. She's even hotter in this film than Basic Instict which I have yet to watch too.
I'll definitely watch the uncut version.
