The One *home
"What Women Want" from 2000. One of my favorite Mel Gibson movies...and any movie with Helen Hunt is a win in my opinion.
It was long, but good (that's what she said?). Lots of panoramic shots since the first part of the Hobbit was walking all over the place. The dwarves were great, and it was good to see new and old, familiar characters again on the big screen. The movie answers a lot origin questions like how Gandalf and Bilbo got their swords (glamdring and sting respectively), and how Bilbo got the Ring from Gollum.
got bored with The Hobbit so I left the theater halfway thru the movie planning to go home ... as I was about to ride my bike, I found that my eyeglass case is missing, so I went back to the theater and found the case ... as fate would have it, I finished the movie ... and now I'm certain there is going to be a sequel

"The Wrestler," starring Mickey Rourke and Marisa Tomei.
R-rated but now I have a newfound respect for what professional wrestlers do. It's also one of Rourke's best performances. Director Darren Aronofsky says this was meant to be the companion piece to the more famous "Black Swan" that was released two years later.
Not a movie for fans of happy endings, though
Kinda OT: when will the theaters switch over to MMFF? I haven't watched The Hobbit yet.
The Hobbit. Make sure you watch it in 3d. And its long so go to the CR beore watching
