I only read of the news on fb... and only first saw Ariella's reply via Twitter: "For the people who have lack of jobs, I do believe that we people should invest in education—and that is my primary advocacy". Wow, color me impressed. And so I thought that was probably why she was able to get the respectable 3rd place finish.
Hungry for the news I searched further, and came into the full Q&A portion:
"MISS UNIVERSE 2013: Judge Tara Lipinski asks Ariella Arida: "What can be done about the lack of jobs for young people starting their careers around the world?" She first greeted the crowd in Russian and then said, "For the people who have lack of jobs, I do believe that we people should invest in education—and that is my primary advocacy—because if every one of us is educated and we‘re well aware of what we are doing, we could land into jobs and could land good careers in the future. So, education is a primary source and it is a ticket for a better future."
Hmm... kaya pala 3rd runner-up finish. Sayang nga kasi she could have aced the question and landed a bit higher.
Still, landing in the top 5 isn't really that bad. Congratulations, Ms. Arida.

Venezuela's answer wasn't really that much better.
The real reason Ariella lost is because of that garish dayglo yellow gown.
In short...
Kasalanan nanaman ni PNoy.
:hysterical: (joke joke joke)
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
