80% local YTers and FB streamers are trolls (who will stream anything that will make or help them make money) and makers of what Zach of Makina calls "***-content". The latter will post borderline illegal stuff like illegal races, questionable hacks and pranks.

May mga maayos naman na YTers like Makina who advocate safe riding, Ian How and his friends who advocate biking and bike safety. Ninong Ry (medyo not for kids lang and panananlita) and RV Manabat who makes cooking simple.

I hope social media sites would it UNPROFITABLE for Filipino "content creators" so we'd have less of these trolls and ta3 content.

Yes, I agree there are good ones, I love Simpol (Chef Tatung) I always watch Atty Libayan (he makes me laugh with his passion AGAINST Tulfo, gigil na gigil e! lol) Pero si Zach and Atty Libayan nag away dati lol. I stopped watching Ninong Ry because of the green jokes and I can't really follow his recipes, puro experiment at walang portions. Chef RV I sometimes watch but I followed one recipe and it did not turn out good. Simpol is always a hit at home. Mostly I watch youtubers na less than 10k subs, mas honest kasi no sponsors pa.

I actually like Ninong Ry's method (thats how I cook, puro eyeball lang) and experiments, allo yung mga replication niya ng mga nakain niya abroad using local ingredients. Mukha siyang un-scientific pero actually it is since may mga principles pa rin siya na sinusunod.

His GF left him, seems like he never really got over that. LOL. Sa tsikot ko rin lang nalaman si Ninong Ry. Yung vibe niya pang male audience talaga, parang barkadahan ng mga lalaki. Ninong Ry admits to ALWAYS being late saka hindi ko gusto yung personality na disorganized.

Never liked Chef JP kasi first time I saw him on social media was on FB na nagluluto ng nakahubad, that was before he became a youtuber ata. My first thought was what a narcissist.

Masyado malaki pera sa youtube to refuse sponsors kasi. In the mid 2000s I used to read a blogger who refused sponsorships, he didn't need it anyway since he had money. Yung ibang youtuber greedy na, mayaman na gusto pa kumita sa youtube.

Zach was the former DJ at NU 107 ba? I was with Atty Libayan on that issue kasi I really want the internet to be rid of these ta3 content. Masyado gullible ang mga Pilipino to be given a choice. Pero nagmukhang pikon si Libayan dun, Zach handled it with class.

I'm all about procedures kaya when Chef Tatung posts a video na walang recipe/measurements I comment talaga hahaha

No idea. I guess some of them are hoping to transition into mainstream like Yam Concepcion. I only know her from Rigodon and I was surprised that she became a household name na when she got primetime roles sa ABS. Afaik Yam grew up comfortable, doesn't really need showbiz money. Buti wala pa vivamax nung panahon ni Yam Concepcion, otherwise dami niya competition

Pero yung iba sobrang sablay talaga magsalita at halatang nag vivamax for money [emoji23] Parang galing FHM or mga PSP or car show girls

OT natawa ako with a vivamax movie I watched. One girl plays an heiress e parang si Marian Rivera kung magsalita. Hahaha. Sablay casting nila.

Reminds me of that viral palabok sa Quiapo. Tikim TV yata sa youtube channel nagsimula, then followed by facebook food vloggers, saying masarap daw. Nung basahin ko yung comment eh nandun ang true review, mas masarap pa daw palabok sa Jollibee, malansa daw yung palabok.

I tried it. Nothing special nga. We didn't line up though kasi we went on a weekday, buti di naman talaga dinayo since I go to mass at Quiapo once a month

Wala na credibility mga influencers ngayon. Ang pinaka credible yung word of mouth pre social media (up until the mid 2000s)

It occurred to me that a lot of the homeless here are from somewhere else. For example, New York City was caught red-handed giving their homeless one-way tickets to here. They stay for a bit while the weather is mild. But, once it gets hot, they move on to California.
