Even artists are getting into youtube. I saw his video today on my youtube main page and this is quality content for me. His other videos are pure 90s nostalgia It's sad that local channels which are mostly full of shallowness and stupidity have over 1m subscribers

Many Filipinos are online. YouTubers know they will eventually get viewers & subscribers. Monetization and ads and then there are "giveaways.."

Tits and comic relief aren't shallow... its entertainment(sarcasmo)

They bought all the ads possible. That's how they got 8m. They even bought ads on IG. at first I was like hmmm. Then it was a "meh"

Simple lang naman, sa 100M na Filipino, about 90M aren't highly educated and exposed to the finer things in life. So yan yung nakakatuwa for them. Of that 90M, around half have internet access (PH has 60% internet penetration rate, projected to be 80% in 3 yrs). Voila, millions of subscribers.

Compare that to vloggers na sosyal yung market (i.e. Kryz Uy) 300k subs lang.

I forgot where I watched it pero it's $1 per 1k views from PH, pag US ang viewers $4 per 1k, e popular vloggers get minimum 100k views daily, some nga millions. That is a lot of money
