IMO once a brand or anything becomes popular, no matter how high the price, it loses it's exclusivity, though that's just me.
    personally,
i am not a fan of brand names that have seeming polarizability properties.

Hermes Kelly Bag Fetches Record Price at Sotheby’s Auction

A Hermes handbag fetched a record price for a Sotheby’s auction, the latest evidence that rare luxury items are increasingly seen as stores of value by investors and wealthy buyers.

The Himalaya Retourne Kelly 25 bag sold for €352,800 ($346,802) in a Paris auction that ended Thursday, Sotheby’s said. The crocodile-skin handbag in mother-of-pearl white, reminiscent of a snowy mountain landscape, sold for almost three times Sotheby’s pre-sale estimate.

This model is viewed as a “real investment for the long term,” said Morgane Halimi, global head of handbags and accessories at Sotheby’s. It’s also “one of the hardest bags to obtain” in a Hermes boutique, helping to explain its resale price, she said.

The bag, manufactured this year, cost “a few tens of thousands” of euros at retail, she said.

Its part of the marketing plan for luxury brands to be "household names." Thats why they always lease places with high foot traffic, even if only a minuscule percentage of those who see the stores can afford it.

How many people who pass by Glorietta 4, Orchard Road, or Canton Road can afford luxury goods? Not many (definitely more in the last two examples) but they just want the brand awareness, visibility, and accesibility

There are luxury stores hidden inside office buildings only open on request.

The “news” got picked up by a korean news portal.

And the koreans went on full racist on pinoys.

Hermes surely wont issue a statement, sino ba si Sharon sa kanila.

    Baka si Heart pwede pa.

Exclusively bespoke? I don't think so. Even the Royal Family buys brand names.

What I'm saying lang luxury bags have become aspirational items na when pre internet it wasn't. Anyway, magulo or malabo lang siguro ako magpaliwanag

Here's Princess Diana carrying a Louis Vuitton toiletry pouch. I suppose this was in the 90s

This is recent Lady Louise Windsor in a Chloe bag.

Like how racist? What did they say?

Sharon kasi she's not known globally but she's really into luxury items since the 80s. I'm just shocked she had to do a Pretty Woman, she has nothing to prove naman.

and if im going to buy luxury bags for investment i will shy away from Louis Vuitton because you can see many replicas of that brand. I will settle for Hermes or probably a Chanel but then again this luxury bags are ladies bag so I have no idea which bag can appreciate in value over time.
