    That’s simple - money was created as a universal medium of exchange vs barter which had a lot of inefficiencies especially if for example, you didn’t want to trade chickens for your cow.

    So you convert your cow to money, the other guy converts his chicken to money, and you both go off using the money to buy what you really wanted to buy.

    Back to the topic of religion - the world can operate without it, and in fact many first world countries do.

    Religion just happens to be so ingrained among Filipinos just as gun ownership is ingrained among Americans.

    it's pure dialogue but it's pretty intense. i think jake gyllenhaale really displayed his acting mettle here although the original scandinavian version is reportedly better.
