wala talaga siya laban kay taylor swift, unang una she writes her own songs and can sing it very well, plays a guitar, bata, ***y at maganda. eh si kuh ledesma, all of her hit songs are originally written by a foreign artist, her voice is mediocre, matanda at panget.:bwahaha:

pero what can you say naman if we will compare sarah geronimo vs. taylor swift and the Bieber or even the crap Korean artists (for me) performing almost at the same time?

January 6th, 2011 05:03 AM #26Its a circular argument...we buy our own, but we have to improve our products...simple as that. So which comes first...improve or buy/patronize our own?
Korea was able to do that by I think doing both acts at the same time...they improved on their products/services and at the same time...patronized their own.
Sana ganito tayo or at least majority ng mga Pinoy.

The thing is: We do have local talents who are excellent.
The problem is: our market is too small.
Back in the 90's, we had an explosion of young talent coming out. Bands and artists with original and exciting music.
What happened? After they folded up, broke up, retired or moved away, we fell once again into the rut of recycled and regurgitated music. Bossa Nova remakes and Acoustic covers...
Who the hell will pay to listen to knock-off artists in concert when they can listen to the originals?
The fault lies with the buying public. People don't care about listening to good music. They just want to hear the same old stuff. If they'd actually broaden their horizons and listen to more local music, they'd see that there's more to music than regurgitated 80's hits and Justin Bieber.
It's not a problem that's isolated to the Philippines. Around the world, even in the US, indie artists and producers of good music struggle to get recognized, whereas artists like Bieber and Swift get tens of millions of hits on Youtube.
People nowadays have no imagination...
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

e itong si Kuh even discourages us to watch and patronize these foreign acts. heck, yung ibang oldies (i did not say all) na di na sikat, as in, wala nang K, trying hard to bring back its fans. e preference natin itong mga foreign artists e, it's our choice. wala silang magagawa kung marami ang manood ng concert ni Taylor swift at justin bieber.
even MySpace is the ground for indie artists in the US, but with the boom of Facebook and youtube, MS is going down the drain as well.

People watch what they want. They buy what they want. Simple law of commerce. Forcing what we don't want to us? We simply will not buy.
(yang mga pinoy artist na yan tignan mo suot, gamit at celphone. ano binibili nila? Bayo o LV? Myphone o Nokia? Di ba?)
OT:Fans should rush and watch Justine B. Malapit na yan umiba ang boses. At ma laos.
