Pagkatapos magbigay ng statement sa PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), nagpaunlak ng inteview, sa pamamagitan ng telepono, ang legal counsel ni Vhong Navarro na si Atty. Alma Mallonga sa Startalk ng GMA Network, kaninang hapon, January 26.

Ito ay kaugnay pa rin ng pambubugbog sa komedyante at sa alegasyong "attempted rape" laban dito.

Saad ng abugado, “He is in the hospital, medyo malubha yung kanyang kalagayan.

"He has been severely injured and he’s scheduled to undergo surgery procedures, iyon ang pagkakaintindi ko."

Pero nakakausap naman nang malinaw si Vhong.

Sabi pa ni Atty. Mallonga, “You know what, yung kanyang napagdaanan, anybody na napagdaanan yung kanyang naranasan, they will be very traumatized as Vhong is traumatized right now.”

"Nagpa-screen kami ng statement today, it is because of that particular news item na meron daw police blotter na lumabas, na may paratang raw o accusation ng attempted rape against Vhong.

"Maaaring hindi siya santo, pero siya’y isang mabuti ring tao.

"At, definitely, hindi siya kriminal, siya’y biktima.
