i was careless and spontaneous and impulsive dati. i got away with stuff when i was younger and looking back i could have gotten myself into real trouble

The Chinoys had a "solution" for that -- "KAI SHAO". Young adults can't date just anyone, especially non-Chinese. S/He must be referred, background-checked (to some degree), and approved by the parents beforehand. Sort of like a blind date but one arranged by the elder family members. "Kai Shao" anyone?
