    Hi Sirs/Mams,

I have a question regarding my upcoming PMS for my 2015 HB Mazda 3, my casa is recommending me to have the non-standard package for their maintenance, which costs 29k php compare to their basic package of 12k php.

One item stood out for me on the list, and that is the “DECARB CLEANING”

My question is, for a 4yrs old with a 40k mileage, is this really required?

And this package is for 80k mileage vehicles, i guess they are following the age of the car instead of the mileage.

Hope you guys can enlightened me.

    Thank you!!

some folks here recommend the italian tune-up, instead.
a good restaurant at the turn-around pole of the trip, helps.

Ako, araw-araw Italian tuneup sa SLEX lalo na kung wala masyado traffic. Hehehehe

By the way, do you really need to decarb a SkyActiv engine? Di naman carb yung mga new engines ah. Mazda SkyActiv owners, chime-in please.

    decarb.
    to de-carbonize.
nuthin' to do with whether the car has a carburator or not.

but what i worry about more, is the carb.
    carbohydrates.
sarap kasi yung restaurant sa turn-around.

    heh heh.

    Thanks, Doc.

Unless your car is a garage queen, no need to do this decarb stuff if you use your car regularly.

Not really, as long as you give it a go, once in a while. It should be fine. Mine's been 3+ years, low mileage though (only about 30k km), but always run at high rpm and speed on the highways.
