since there are only 4 colors sold locally, i presumed the one you didnt mention was the least popular.

I average 5.6-6.8 Km/L here in NCR (normal/moderate) traffic. Kapag heavy na mga 4-5 na lng ang fuel economy.

I recently went to Tagaytay with 5 other adults with me, from C5-SLEX exit 11Km/L ang FE ko, mga 105-115kph normal speed ko sa SLEX pero umaabot ako 140-150kph sa SLEX at some points. After exiting in SLEX naging 9.5km/L na lang ang FE ko nung makarating ako mismo sa may tagaytay rotonda, ksi medyo nagkatrapik and pataas na ang road.

Ang isang full tank ko nga pla mga 60 liters is only good for about 320-350 km in mixed (normal and heavy traffic) city driving dito sa NCR. that translates to about 10-11 pesos per kilometer sa gas prices ngayon.

Dito sa NCR about 40% ng CX7 na nakikita ko ay color white, 25% silver, 25% black, 10% red. observation ko lng naman yan

I am an owner of a white one, pero ngayon mas malakas na ang dating sa akin ng silver. hehe.

    My Complains on CX7,

    1. yung burnt smell evident nga siya on some speeds(kapag mabilis ako naaamoy ko ito).

    2. I also hear the tires na may irritating noise kapag mabilis na ang takbo ko.

    3. Nagsi-switch din bigla bigla yung outside air intake kapag naka auto air con ka, medyo annoying ksi biglang babaho na lng sa loob ng auto and dun mo lang mapapansin na bumukas.

    4. Very limited and pricey accessories

    5. Pangit na mags

according to the feedback here, that "hair dryer" smell is normal daw especially for brand new cars

however, while i can smell a hint of it on the chevy, i don't get the same smell at all on the mitsu even at that speeds

as for switching to outside air, i don't us the auto aircon button. it appears that the default setting is for outside air. well, what can we expect since this is a japan CBU. i usually use manual mode to ensure that i get the recirculation button on. this is the same with our chevy (where you have to press the recirc button manually)

hi guys galing lang ako sa quezon ave mazda kahapon for a test drive, ok naman yung cx7 ,im planning to get this or the montero, ayaw ko din kasi yung diesel. Smooth yung cx7, sabi din wife ko masikip yung likod compare sa montero na pinuntahan namin after ng test drive ng cx7.

Walang demo car ang mitsubishi so walang test drive kahapon. Anyway cx7 is a nice car, but still we are highly considering the FC, if 5 vs 10km/l ng montero medyo malaki difference nun. From qc to katipunan lets say around 30kms yun balikan sa cx7 kung 5kms/ltr assuming 50pesos per liter yung gas nasa 300pesos siya araw araw, compare sa montero na 10kms/ltr na nasa 150pesos balikan aasuming 50pesos per liter yung diesel.

Kung ito yung routine ko everyday may doubt ako na baka magsisi ako sa huli and baka pati ang wife ko ako sisihin and isa pa the resale value is not that high im pretty sure.

Overall maganda ang crossover na to i like it so much specially if you want to belong. If FC is not an issue no doubt im getting this kahit masikip yung likod hehe.

i doubt if you can get 10km/L on the montero in metro manila driving with an average speed of less than 20km/h. but on the same average speed, the montero will give you better fuel economy. from my experience, on the same average speed, the montero will give between 1-2 km more per liter and at a cheaper cost for the fuel (unleaded gasoline versus diesel max)

if you are the one driving and do not really need the passenger space or the high ground clearance and can live with the fuel cost, then the 7 is the car for you. it is really a driver's car

i sold my 7 because i needed a 4x4 for negros and cebu. i want the flexibility for the steep roro ramps and rough mountain roads (moderately off road, not hard core off road). add to that mix the lack of direct dealer support for mazda in negros. maintenance wise, i will have a problem with mazda in negros.

while i had the 7 it was trouble free save for that annoying aircon smell at certain speeds and it was a blast to drive

but now, i have a new baby .............. yeahhhhh !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow! It's a good thing I read this thread before making my decision. I was also about to get the CX7. The crazy sales exec at Mazda QA even told me that the FC for city driving was 12km/L. I knew it was too good to be true. Tama ba na I can only use Petron Blaze with this thing and not XCS?

when i was using my 7, i gassed up with unleaded fuel that was E10. E10 fuelresults in lower FC. if you search the internet, it actually lowers FC by about 3%. this is probably why mazda recommended the premium gasoline (tama ba na premium ang blaze?) . if you use the premium gasoline, the FC can be better but at a higher cost. but i would really not know since from day 1, i have been using unleaded fuel

as for the car doing 12km/L in the city, it will depend on the average speed. for me, the daily route was only around the makati central business district at an average speed of less than 15km/h, oftentimes about 12km/h. thus, i can never achieve the 12km/L.

makaka 12km/L ka lang if your average speed is about 50km/h and up, no stop and go traffic (which will lower your average speed of course) and with conservative driving. now, can you achieve this in real world day to day driving? i don't think so

Thanks for the info 111prez, I'll be driving it around QC which is known for it's stop and go traffic, specially along Quezon Ave. and E. Rodriguez. Guess I'll turn my attention towards the Santa Fe, which isn't as sleek but a lot roomier. :D
