Hi guys! Another new owner of a Mazda Tribute here. Just bought a 2nd hand 06 model 2 weeks ago. Same reasons as you guys as to why the Tribute: 1) wala masyado meron 2) spacious and looks good.
I just have a question though? Any of you experiencing tire noise? I've been reading reviews for hours now and maraming complaints sa US about tire cupping resulting to a really loud noise. My Tribute is experiencing exactly that. Just had a checkup this afternoon at Mazda Makati and they said na uneven ang kain sa tires. Sabi sa Mazda Alabang regular naman daw ang tire rotation since sa kanila pinapaservice ng previous owner. Medyo hindi ko ma-stand yung tire noise so I'm thinking of changing tires kahit na mga 70% life pa ng current one. But from what I've seen online, kahit palitan, it will happen again after some time.
Please post na lang if you're encountered the same problem and what you did about it.

July 5th, 2009 12:54 AM #289makisingit lang ako, last month nung nagpa-service ako ng 3 sa GH sabi sakin ng SA ay naglabas daw ulit sila ng Tribute, nagulat nga ako kasi akala ko phase out na. may display na nga daw uli sila kaso at that time ay inalis daw muna yung display unit kaya di ko mismo nakita. not sure kung talagang binebenta uli ngayon, di pa ko nakadaan ulit. July 8th, 2009 06:19 PM #293sama ako sa tribute club... nde pa ko nakaka punta sa greenhills... puro out of town ako sa weekend para ma-try ko ung tribute...
i was in subic yesterday and the ride was extremely fun... I had three passengers plus most of my team's bags and I was still able to go to 160kph at sctex... I just wanted to see how fast the tribute could go so I asked my officemate if we could speed up on our way home...
she was driving a mazda3 (hatchback) and tried to outrun me in SCTEX... I have to admit the mazda3 was really faster at the start but I was able to overtake her once I had the tribute up to speed... I'm not sure why, i've been driving for two weeks only, but the acceleration of the tribute coming from a full stop is really, really slow...
I averaged around 140kph while at SCTEX and during certain long stretches, I maxed out at 160kph... I wanted to push it further as the engine was still as silent as ever but I was too chicken to try it out with so many passengers...
my guess is that it would probably max out at 210 before you start hearing any increase in the noise from the engine...
sana totoo na nde nila i-phase out... para meron tayong mabuong club... hehehe... kelan first meeting? wala akong alam sa mga sasakyan kaya naghahanap ako ng mga marurunong eh... hehehe...
