Bought my Mazda 3 2018 1.5 last January 2018. So far I've put about 1200km.

So far, here's my recorded stats over 4 top-ups:

    (237.7 + 332.3 + 205.1 + 251.0) = 1026 km
    (29.01 + 31.68 + 30.38 + 30.02) = 121.09 L

That's an average of 8.47 km/L. Mostly city driving with moderate traffic in Cebu.

Should I be concerned? Or is this the right fuel consumption?

I see. Could this still get better after break-in?

I guess I'll give it a couple of months to settle in and will report back. Using Shell FuelSave. What gas do you guys use? :D

What's your average speed? At very slow moving traffic on a daily basis (10kph or below), your M3's fc is good enough. My 2018 M3 2.0L fc is between 7 to 8 km/Li, ave speed 13kph with total distance of 3000km.

There's no break-in period anymore for most new cars like the M3 although I did notice that the FC got a bit better after driving it for 1000km. Perhaps can be attributed to my improved driving style eg smooth acceleration, less overtaking, etc.

i believe that FC slight increase, is an effect of braking in.

I got a horrendous fuel consumption last Sunday, 9.4 km/L. This is the first time I've had this kind of consumption. I was driving a bit aggressively on our way to Subic. The fun run of Touge Battle made me "blind" with such kind of fuel consumption.

If only I got up early... I usually get an average of 17-18 km/L. 20.4 km/L is my latest for a 140 km stretch. I think I can make it above 20 if I were to drive "strictly" at 83 kph, exclusive to highways.

Using crush control mode might help improve your M6's fc. Yeah it's going to be boring, no zoom zoom fun [emoji14]
