Saw one nung nagpa service ako. A closer look reveals a crossover dahil sobrang taas for a car and sobrang baba for a mini-van. Kinda reminds me of in-laws Toyota Matrix.

the downside: 3333lbs 157hp 148ft-lb 2.3l engine (A V6 would have been nice)

compared to Mazda3 wagon na 2826 160hp 150ft-lb 2.3l

oo nga eh. i havent driven the mazda 5 yet but i drove the Ford Freestyle, which does have a v6, with 4 people and that thing is like a snail.

OT: now that we have a mazda 5, are some people going to call it the M5? :bwahaha: some people call the mazda 3 the M3 and i always get confused

on the mazda usa website it comes with the 2.3 liter 157 hp engine. good move i think.

i woulodn't mind having one of those. almost exactly what the grandis is but it might have better rear doors?

nice looks. i viewed the video sa mazda website. really slick! sana naman kung dadalhin yan dito may 3.0 variant kahit di na v6. based on its size and weight around 180 hp will do just fine. a 3.0 engine can deliver that!!!

it is actually even cheper than the Mazda3 hatch because the airbags, abs and side curtains are standard.

if you get a mazda 3 matic with ABS package, MSRP is $19365 withh seating for 5 adults (i think, karding, kasya ba ang limang adult?)

eh yung matic na mazda5 is only $18895 with a larger area, but only seating for 4 adults and 2 kids and with 3 HP less and bigger cargo yet heavier.

i guess the choice between the two sould be if you have kids or not. kung may kids ka, then the 5 might be better? but if wala pa naman or isa lang, then the the 3 might be better kasi it will also be sportier and must have better fuel economy kasi lighter sya.

depende sa adult. kung heavyweight na adult e 2 lang ang kasya sa likod pero kung normal weight naman e 3.

di naman ako ganyan ka overweight. mga x 2 lang at the most

i think this will be better for me since susunod na dito sa SoCal ang fiance ko at ang anak ko, so it is a good compromise between space and sporty. fold the third row seats back, and then you have lots of cargo space for strollers and the like.

kung magbisita parents ko dito, then sila sa 2nd row and the kid in the third.

kung long trip, mukhang maganda naman ito para lagyan ng roof racck kasi wagon na wagon ang dating. unlike the mazda3 na hatchback ang dating.

3.0 L engine may not be a possibility simply because......... there is no 3.0 V6.

The only engine choices I saw were (or at least what it says were the ff):

-1.8 L I4 MZR, 85 kW (116 PS/114 hp)
-2.0 L I4 MZR, 110 kW (150 PS/148 hp)
-2.3 L I4 MZR, 117 or 119 kW (159-162 PS/157-159 hp)
-2.0 L I4 MZ-CD Diesel, 77 or 105 kW (105-143 PS/103-141 hp)
