We are aware of those engine choices. What gwapito69 and I meant is slap a V6 in it and not limit Mazda5 to those above mentioned engine line-up.Originally Posted by Blackraven
In summary, Mazda should slap the 220hp 3.6l V6 engine to Mazda5 found on USDM Mazda6.
Is this the Grandis? If so, Mazda5 is lower in height compared to this. hence, it's called the crossover flatform.
Quick Comparison just to give you an idea how tall the Mazda5 is and factor the ground clearance:
2005 RAV4 is 65.7 inches in height ground clearance of 6.3"
2006 Mazda5 is 64.2 inches with ground clearance of 5.5"
2006 Mazda3 Wagon is 57.7 inches with ground clearance of 5.7"
2005 Toyota Matrix is 61.6 inches with ground clearance of 5.9"
The Width:
2005 RAV4 is 68.3 inches
2006 Mazda5 is 69.1 inches
2006 Mazda3 Wagon is 69.1 inches
2005 Toyota Matrix is 69.9 inches
The interior looks bigger than the Mazda3 HB/Wagon. Thats all I can say because I didnt do any test drive.

Panlaban sa Grandis, kamukha yung likod ng dalawa. Kaya bang labanan yung Innova sa presyo?
Kung dalin to dito baka asa gitna ng Grandis and Innova ang presyo. Siguro asa 1.2 to 1.3M. Magiging kalaban ata nito yung mga top of the line na CUVs.
Subdued front styling and radically nice tail. Clean and neat interior. Shifter gater looks a bit oversized for its purpose. Anyone know the target price range ?. 1.3M ba?.
No doubt that this is a nice minivan/MPV.
I also heard na marami yung engine choices nito.
As to whether it is coming or not, I think it will come in due time.
We might get ours from the upcoming regional production hub for the Mazda 5 (which is in Indonesia) since getting it from Hiroshima, Japan (Mazda Main & Global HQ) would add to the price tag.
