Hi all, new Mazda owner here (M3 1.5 petrol hatch soul red crystal). Just want to say you guys rock!Very informative & helpful. Cheers!
What's the odometer reading? I'd expect engine suspension issue will start to appear around 100T km or more based on the older cars my dad has maintained for the past 20 years.
We have a 1st gen Mazda3. Odometer reading is already at 120T km, engine suspension is still ok. So far the only parts that were replaced/damaged are the brake pads, front/rear stabilizer links and shock absorbers. Hopefully the 3rd gen Mazda3 will surpass the durability we have experienced with older cars...
24k km. Too early. A lot of M3 owners here had also replaced their engine mount. Specifically, engine mount no. 4, under the battery. The technician from the dealership said it's usually the case for the 3rd gen M3. He said, because Mazda wants the car to be lighter, alot of parts have been sacrificed. One of them being the engine suspension. I dunno... Maybe because alot of the parts are made in China.

I should probably go back to the older Mazda3 as my daily car and sell my skyactiv after warranty ends. Engine mount no issues so far despite the bad road conditions it has been through for the past 10 years. It's more durable and cheaper to maintain than the 3rd gen Mazda3 [emoji23]
Who's on Michelin PS4S? Care to share your experience?
