July 19th, 2016 02:02 PM #1401Hi mga sir,
My partner and I have been reading through the Mazda thread for a while now. Mas naconvince kaming kumuha ng Mazda 2 tuloy
I would like to ask po sana if meron po ba sa inyong nakakuha ng discount sa dealer? We'll purchase through bank P.O. (Already approved for Mazda 2 Premium Series, Crimson) and yung naghahandle po ng auto loan namin sa bank advised us to ask for discounts sa dealers para medyo makatipid.
She said it could be as much as 25-30k since parang cash payment rin sya. (of course, we asked dealers for confirmation pero they only gave us 5k discount).
Baka po merong may idea sa inyo kung saan kami pwedeng pumunta na dealer/agent (or at least ideal price range ng nakuha nyong discount)?
Pasensya na po ah, first time lang po kasi naming kukuha ng bnew na car. That's why we find it hard to haggle sa mga dealers without having a bit of idea. Baka kasi we'll be asking for too much pala sa presyo.
Thank you po!

July 19th, 2016 02:32 PM #1402Mahirap makakuha ng discounts especially for cash and PO buyers, more so for hot cars like Mazda2/3. Yung financing nagbibigay sila kasi halos wipeout yung discounts sa interest. The best I got was P10k rebate last year. Meron pa rin naman dealers na nagbibigay ng discounts, yung sa Pasig or Greenhills yata. Pero even without the discounts Yojin3 is more than enough. Yung 3 taon na free PMS is already about P30k worth.

July 20th, 2016 06:49 AM #1404Thanks for the insight Sir Yatta!
Agreed that Yojin3 is already a good inclusion pag nagpurchase ka ng Mazda (one of the reasons why we chose Mazda over other car brands)
Medyo nagiisip nga rin kami if we should get straight from dealers na lang (they could cut on DP pero syempre mas malaki monthly compared to bank financing).
For now, we'll just check with Pasig or Greenhills as advised.
Salamat sir!

If it's your first time to buy / own a car and you plan to keep it about 5 years, better to get a Honda.

July 20th, 2016 07:46 AM #1407Hi Sir Walter,
(EDIT: I realized your reply was for the other post, but I'll ask anyway since this will also be our first car)
Can I ask for some reasons why you prefer Honda over Mazda?
Given na may free maintenance naman for 3 years, is it a problem with build quality overall (or specific problems with the transmission, perhaps)? Parang di kasi tatagal ng 5 years nang walang problema based sa reply nyo.Last edited by spacescarlet; July 20th, 2016 at 08:05 AM. Reason: reply was actually for another post, sorry!

Mazda 2 is a very good car. But maybe after 3 years you might want to have the vehicle maintained outside of dealer. There will be more parts available for the Honda outside of dealer than the Mazda.
And also edit option is not allowed anymore
