Hahaha....This truth is seldom heard & admitted.....often tucked & hidden by pride.
A buddy who had been a Honda guy since birth forfeited his Jazz downpayment upon seeing the gen3 M3. Love won. Pride lost. Now a happily relocated Mown3r & a convert.
The Civic will succeed. & I want it to.... A lot of the younger ones are aching to look more accomplished, matured......Ok, older than they really are, out there. Finally, an affordable Accord!!!!
Oh...& I really wish Federer can win another major over Djokovic again...but like Honda here, we should make another thread!! Haha, sorry, guys!

Don't get the 2.0 variant of the 'new king' just yet.....

"Honda has issued a stop sale on the 2016 Civic with the 2.0-liter four-cylinder for a problem that might allegedly lead to engine failure. The company also plans to recall and inspect the examples already with customers. Honda spokesperson Chris Martin tells Autoblog that the issue doesn't affect any Civics with the 1.5-liter turbocharged engine.

"While the specific details of this action are still being determined, American Honda has provided preliminary information to the NHTSA and intends to provide more details in a formal notification to NHTSA on Friday, February 5," Martin said. After the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration acknowledges the details, Honda will issue an official statement about the problem.

A post on the CivicX forum purports to have a Honda document detailing the fault. Some of the 2.0-liter engines may have missing or miss-set piston pin snap rings, which could cause damage to the pistons and other internal parts. The issue reportedly affects roughly 34,000 examples of the 2016 Civic.

If the document from the CivicX forum are accurate, dealers will use a borescope to inspect the pin snap rings on the potentially affected engines. According to the forum, replacement parts are not yet available, and Honda expects to notify customers about the recall in March.

Autoblog drove the turbocharged version of the 2016 Civic late in 2015 and came away fairly impressed. We loved the new engine and quiet interior but weren't so enamored with the CVT. In any case, if you're in the market for a new Civic, you may now have one more reason to consider the new turbo mill."

    CVT😣
Sad that Honda's quality and QC have seen a slide in recent years. Vibrating CR-V's, VTC actuator rattles, oil-burning VTECs....Now, their choice of CVT? Not going back anytime soon.😣

Silly question...any 1.5 owners who put Eibachs but kept the stock 16s? is that even possible?lol Don't know about wheels/mags and just recently watched a Youtube vid about Eibach and wondered if that was possible.
Around how much does Eibach cost for the MZ3? And is there a particular model/size for it?
Another question, to those who upgrade their mags, is it a must to also use Eibachs so it will lower your ride a little?

No silly questions here chief - Im a newbie to the Mz3 world myself, but everyone here is nice.

Sir Travs and Geo_S can answer your question in more detail and with expertise but this should get you started....

1)Eibach is a brand (a good one) - one of their more popular products are coilovers (coilies) and lowering springs. Other brands are Maxspeed, H&R, Spoon, and a host of others, including the ever popular Mown3r favorite - TEIN.
2)Yes, you theoretically could put in lowering springs and use them with stock 16's (or 18's for that matter), but you might have to change your tire specs to avoid rubbing, depending how severe the drop.
3)Is it a must to lower or drop your ride after changing your mags or shoes? No...but admittedly your ride will perform better and look better (even with stock mags). Some prefer not to since there are possible drawbacks - ride quality could suffer, and you could scrape the pavement more with skirts.

Makes sense. Thanks for the clarification.

Going for bigger rims w/out getting lowering springs may result in your car looking like its on stilts.

Our brothah lsdgenie has pretty much covered your questions. Lemme just add to the best of my knowledge.
1.Any 1.5 owners who put Eibachs but kept the stock 16s?
I'm not sure if there are any here. Most love their Ms too much to subject theirs to the visual imbalance.

    2. Is that even possible?
Of course, stock wheels & tires don't have agressive fitments. Tolerances are significant. The only way you'll rub on them is when you overload or the struts/springs bottom out.

    3. Would it look good?
Beauty is relative. I can't answer this for you. My taste is pretty much what you see on mine.

4.Around how much does Eibach cost for the BMseries M3? And is there a particular model/size for it?
Unknown to most, there are 2 types of Eibachs for the BMseries M3.
    a) The German Eibach 4100-77-974 is the OE Sport Springset for Petrol M3s. These are linear rated. This is available in Mazda dealerships across Europe. They retail for around £165. Lowers 25-30mm.
Eibach Lowering suspension kit for Petrol Vehicles - 4100-77-974

    ....and....
    b) The US-made Eibach Prokit 5557.140.
These are progressive rated. Starts soft & stiffen w/ load. Lowers front by 25.4mm/rear by 33mm. These retail in Tire Rack for $220.
    Eibach Pro-Kit Spring Set

4.Another question, to those who upgrade their mags, is it a must to also use Eibachs so it will lower your ride a little?
It's not a must to lower nor to use Eibach. You may go for Tein, RSR, H&R, Racing Beat springs or coilovers out there. Or, you may opt to remain sitting on OE suspension, stilts as Yatta pointed. Again, this is preferential & relative. Compare this to the media-induced thinking that thin models are better looking than the endowed ones.......
Well, not really. Lemme take that back. Wheelgap just plain sucks!!!!:D......Enough of the political correctness!!!!! Drop it & discard those fugly stock 16s, sir! Hahaha.:D

    A blessed weekend, all!!!!

Yes possible to lower without changing rims, to your taste.

Eibach prokits (their most popular lowering spring) go typically around 12k +/-

Again, rims and lowering is to your taste, most buy rims first then lower second but it isnt a must to have both. Even those ferraris have significant wheel to fender gaps haha but i dont hear people complain about how it looks

If you are interested in eibach go straight to mark tan, the official distributor of Eibach in PH

    Lowering Pros:
    1. cheap way to make your car look better even without aftermarket rims, especially if you like your existing or stock rims, spacers nalang for those who are anal about flushed look.
    2. You feel handling is better
    3. You feel cooler (until ma takot ka lumusob sa baha tapos mga normal height cars just pass by heheheh)

    Cons:
    1. You will wear your stock shocks faster, change to new one or more expensive for lowered spring aftermarket shocks
    2. Depends on the car, springs actually dont make your car handle better thus increasing your lap time on the track, its actually the opposite due to imbalance.
    3. You will sag eventually and hit more of your underchassis and bumpers aside from the initial drop.
    4. Gets tiring and impractical given our road conditions
    5. Makes you think you should have gotten coilovers instead to begin with (cost and convenience) haha

If you havent tried lowering, go try it at least once, its fun but impractical. You've been warned haha

Good Morning to M3 owners! Finally, nakapag-backread din from page 700, haha.

I'm interested sa scratch-resistant na service na offer ni justdyi. Pwede ba ako humingi ng details regarding the service like location and pricing? Thanks

Also, ask na rin ako sa inyo ng advise if okay na magpa-wax sa 2 months old na M3 ko

A little concern lang din abot my fuel consumption. Ang mileage ko is around 2300Km na, pero still parang hindi pa ganun ka ganda ung FC ko. Around 18L/100km according to my data. Moderate traffic nga lang iyon eh plus hindi naman ako super aggresive na driver (minsan lang hehe). Meron kaya akong maling nagagawa.

Saka paanu ba na rereset yung Trip A and Trip B?

    Thanks mga Bros

Mababa pa kasi natatakbo mo. Also gaano kalayo tinatakbo every drive? Baka maiksi lang naman, tapos sabi mo nga traffic pa.
