Thank you travs. Most probably CV joints. Not hearing the tok sound when driving over humps/bumps so I'm crossing out the spring insulator/protector fix. Only hearing it when steering the wheel particularly to the right. Will have the part checked. Thanks again!

Drain & fill is still better than believing the fluid is lifetime. Best if you can do it twice w/ some good driving in between.
Changing the filter would require dropping the pan, cleaning everything... including thorough removal of the old RTV & proper reapplication of the same high temp sealant. Plenty of brands out there. ThreeBond is a popular old 1. Pioneer has its version.
Your call on the filter.... For reference, here's how a 50k km pried open Sky tranny filter would look like. Not as filthy as one would anticipate.

Not on a Mazda yet, but that symptom you described is typical for a bad CV joint in any FWD car.

Genuine, sir. Those can't be pricey. Hardrace/Megan, GRP got adjustable end links...ideal if you tinker w/ ride height.
If you're upgrading rear sway bar to lessen understeer, JBR has a good 1. Make sure to pair it w/ beefier brackets.

+50 IIRC is stock offset. But rubbing issues also factor in the tire size you put, width wise, mostly.

Your stock 16s are 6.5" wide w/ et+50 offset. You can go 17x8 et45 easily w/o rub issues. You can add 3mm to your ride height & less the wheel gap w/ 225/50/17s....but you'll be slightly faster than what the speedo says. 100kph reading will actually be 100.9kph.

Thank you sir Travs, btw to summarize my inquiry, I'm upgrading to 17"x7 50 offset with 215-50-17 tires. Just need to confirm if this setup will do w/o any issues.
