just remember this guys, when a road closes. another one usually opens. it might be a little farther but surely its on the next turn. i seldom ask for information here in manila let alone in the middle of edsa and into the yellow lane which for all intention purposes is for the big buses that ply there. ingat nalang next time. when in doubt just go around the corner, its only gas money.

or we can have a printout of this thread as a reference. pag magtatanong sa MMDA, wag pumasok sa yellow lane and then pag sinita ka bakit di ka tumabi, just tell them "huhulihin mo ako eh" sabay oabasa sa kanila printout.

this actually happened to me before. i was about to take the west service road going to merville (i was coming from fort bonifacio). apparently the mmda blocked the left turn, so you have to go down south superhighway and up again in the access road.

shempre di ko alam kung san ako dadaan, first time ko na-encounter. i asked the mmda where i can take the service road, at aba, hinihingi ang license ko: road obstruction daw ako kase nakaharang daw ako sa daan. eh tinabi ko nga at naghazard para makausap sha. shempre di ko na pinatulan, tagal namen naguusap at swerte biglang may lumapit na sundalo sabi kakilala ako at palagpasin na daw ako.

so pinalagpas na ako nung mmda. nagpasalamat na lang ako dun sa seargent. retired na yun ngayon.

goddamit!.. same here bro.. but not at megamall.. northbound din papunta ko timog ave to attend a debut.. so before approaching intersection to east ave licensing may underpass area db dun na empty maybe an emergency are so i stopped their then asked question to a mmda officer.. bungad sa akin e violation na obstruction so i told him na kaya ko ngpunta dun para humingi ng assistance hindi ng violation!.. so we're late and frustrated na gf ko so i hand over 200 pesos to that officer and he kindly gave us way in to timog ave... damn.. bad thing is sa gf ko pa hiningi pambayad sa officer kc i only have 1k bills sobra naman yun kung ibbgay ko..

Kaya nga I never ask any traffic aide for directions in unfamiliar territory, and certainly not while on EDSA. Ang pinagkakatiwalaan ko lang talaga, yung city map na lagi kong dala-dala.

Sa mga instances na kelangan na talagang magtanong ng directions, lalapit na lang ako sa tricycle/jeepney driver, sa mga vendor o kaya sa mga security guard.

Eh di ba minsan nga daw mas magandang idahilan yung naliligaw ka pag nahuli ka ng MMDA? (talagang fault mo) When they approach you, unahan mo na ng "sir san po ba yung ganito, kanina ko pa kasi hinahanap" then sila pa magtuturo sa'yo ng direction, libre ka na sa violation mo... tawag ka na lang sa mga relatives/friends na alam mong kabisado ung lugar or tanong ka sa mga jeep, tricycle drivers. Hirap sa mga pulis/mmda, pag lumapit ka sa kanila, parang palay ka na lumapit sa manok tsk tsk

Rule of Thumb, never give out your license if you know na tama ka. Its pointless to argue over anything kung naibigay mo na ang license mo. Etong mga MMDA ang masarap i-on-the-spot sa kotongan, sure ubos memory ng cell mo dami nito.

dapat sir bumaba ka ng oto, then bilangin mo sa harap nila ang mga bus or other private vehicle na nag viviolate sa MMDA Organized Bus Route. saka mo pahuli yung mga bus na makikita mo before ka magbigay ng license or ng bribe.
sinabi mo sana, "kung gusto nila makatulong, hindi niyo gagawin yan" para natauhan.
