Ako naman, dinala ako ng Waze sa gitna ng bulubundukin on the way to Quezon. At some point, nawalan na ako ng cellular signal. Dahil doon sa tree canopy, nawalan din ako ng GPS. Buti na lang, iisa lang yung daanan so no choice but to go forward. After an hour and a half of white knuckled nervous driving, I reached my destination (Kamay ni Hesus) 1 hour earlier than planned! Hahaha.. pero di ko na uulitin yung route na yon.
In my out of the metro excursions i have always used the old school maps, so far ok naman yung map of luzon na nabibili sa national bookstore. I find it more fun actually kasi i get to know the name of the town and do some quick research on what's good over there tapos stop over if worthwhile, mas matagal ngalang itong ganitong roadtrip kasi di sya point A to point B lang. Used it for pagudpod and also a trip south to donsol. Wala pa kasi waze back then kaya i have yet to try it, garmin palang natry ko so far outside the metro.
Waze has been so far great, nakaka 64k points na pala ako sa kanya. I miss yung waze groups nya dati.
very useful yung Waze.
i travel alone last July from Cavite to Bacolod on a RORO via Batangas-Mindoro-Panay-Bacolod route.
accurate naman yung Waze and had no problem using it.
Quite useful,- but not always accurate everytime....
Our TMG should provide motorists with reliable warnings using electronic billboards at every crossroads...

I'm just a new driver waze has always been helpful to me. It's my "go to" everytime I would go to places I've never been. Minsan nga lang palampas na ko sa kanto (na walang street sign) saka palang sasabihin na magturn left (o right). Generally, i'm happy with it and would always be my driving buddy.
meron bang feature yung Waze that will mark the way na dinadaanan mo?
i find this useful like sa Garmin GPS kasi mas madali mo mabalikan yung dinaanan mo sa mga places that you're not familiar.

Wala ata e. But Waze somehow "memorizes" your often used route...

The ETA status display of WAZE is uncannily accurate, even under heavy traffic. Siguro +/- 5 mins.
Did you check the ETA at the start of the trip? Nagadjust kasi iyan while driving. Kaya kung tinignan mo lang siya noong malapit ka na sa destinasyon malamang updated na yung ETA. Hindi na yung original estimate niya at the start of the trip.

Medyo inis ako to see na mas accurate yung waze kapag yung lumang xperia phone ang ginamit ko compared sa samsung.![]()
I stopped using Waze and also went back to my old fashioned routine of just checking Google Maps for possible routes when going to unfamiliar places.
Waze just tends to discourage me from leaving my current location because all you'll usually see there are red lines. :S
