Both directions for nlex, end to end was smooth sailing this morning.
Sctex, from dinalupihan to clark also was cleae. Dont know about tipo/subic exit.
Almost did not see any vehicles going south when we were on sctex.
From Ramos all the way to Anda there were the usual town market traffic. Saw maybe 4 "penitensya" where we slowed down for maybe 300 meters at the most. Then there was the accident before Bani, Suzuki Jimny turned turtle, total wreck. Victim was alive. We made several stops so it took us 6 hours from QC to Tondol.
It's raining here. Hard rain. Nice day to go swimming![]()

Great! Now we know at least to avoid going on a Maundy Thursday and just waiting at least a day to let all the others go ahead.
Now I'm beginning to wonder what this coming
Sunday and Monday will be like. Hihihi![]()
Left LPC at 9 am and arrived at SJDM at 10:20am... Very light traffic....
Via EdSA- White Plains- Katipunan- Commonwealth- Quirino Hiway...
Yes on the 1st question.
Yes on the 2nd.
Never been to bolinao.
Tondol. Ganda .... sa pictures sa internet. Ganda ... writeups sa blogs. It"s a classic case of expectation vs reality. I was expecting a beach where i can walk for miles undisturbed. Where the beach starts where the grass ends. Disappointed in both.
No. Sadly this "Little Boracay of the North" has been ruined already.
In blogs you'll see pictures of immaculately clean and never ending white sand beach where you can find starfish and washed up corals and sea shells. The reality is a mess of dried sea grass (ok, ok that is natural but they can at least clean up a bit), the beach is actually powdered GRAY corral so it's not actually white like in the pictures, and whatever starfish or broken coral and sea shells that existed here had been picked clean many moons ago. Finding a live starfish, taking a picture then leaving it where they find it is one reason i took my kids here. As per accomodations, the internet tells of small family ran resorts that are far in between, with huts that have lawns at which ends the beach begins. Nope! The whole stretch is full of them, with cars spilling out of their compounds. No lawns either. Instead you'll find a concrete road and some concrete walls and concrete kiosks, the heaps of dried sea grass, more dried sea grass, then the sea with lots of sea grass. There are only a few patches of sea where there is no sea grass. Ok the sand is fine like Boracay's but the sea grass makes it hideous. The only thing going for it is you can walk out to sea hundreds of meters during low tide.

Better if before holy week umalis mga saturday or sunday tapos ileave na yung monday to wednesday.
Walandyo ganyan ang byaheng bwisit. Pucha pampanga pa lang yan ah.

What im trying to point out. Madami pwede puntahan na hindi malayo. Mag updiliman na lang kayo. hahahahah
Kasi nga not everyone can file a leave.
And I do agree na let's just be thankful that we can go on vacation anytime we want.

As in napawow ako sa dami sasakay ng bus going to baguio. Pinaikutan na secondary road to tertiary road iisipin mo may charity event. Nakakaawa yung residential doon naging palengke na.
Ang tunay na bakasyon dito sa manila. Solo ko lugar ngayon,.
Yung sabi mo beach pool swimming water falls, ok yan basta hind traffic papunta.
Umalis ako ng QC (Diliman) 3:50am, dumating ako Baguio (Romulo Drive) 1:30pm (includes a 30-minute break at PTT SCTEx).
Mabagal na nga traffic flow, mas bumagal pa sa mga sabitan along the way (I think I saw 4-5).
Kasi after nung counterflow point na yun, harurot na until before piling up once again sa SCTEx on-ramp.
Hindi sya nakaka-uwi ng ibang okasyon, kahit Pasko pa, All Souls Day or New Year. No choice sya.
You live and work in Manila your whole life, tapos dyan karin magbabakasyon? Hindi ata bakasyon yun.
The point of a vacation-holiday is to get away even for a while and I understand the need for that. We all do, except for a few. LoL.
Anyway, back to topic. Expect some traffic southbound today as people will be trying to avoid the rush tomorrow.
Drive safe every-all.
My brother is there right now and he says he saw the local gov't setting up Portalets in some of the parking lots and tourist spaces.
I always make room reservations at least 1 month in advance whenever we go on holidays. But then again, we never go during the peak seasons. Our favorite time to go is October to November. Less crowds, less traffic congestion, better deals on accommodations if one does research. Trivago is good, but I like Agoda better.
So much for an enjoyable vacay.![]()
Maraming malinis na toilet ang Baguio especially around parks and tourist attraction. May bayad nga lang for the maintenance.
Karamihan naman sa hindi na kumukuha ng reservation ay mga one day or night stay lang. Darating ng mid-day and leave midnight or early morning. They usually spend the night sa Burnham Park. Mas malamig kasi sa gabi.
