April 16th, 2019 07:24 PM #11Natry na kasi namin yan last year.

April 17th, 2019 07:31 AM #16traffic naman palagi during this season. Better trust Nav App like waze or Google Maps and check their routes. Usually mas mabilis sa labas ng NLEX for a certain stretch.

I travel to Subic from Pampanga at least once a week, trust me parehas lang kung mag NLEX-SCTEX ka at MacArthur Highway pag Holy Thursday. Everybody thinks that everybody else will travel later in the day and they all end up on the same roads at the same time.
Advantage lang kung MacArthur kayo dadaan, then Gapan-Olongapo road to Subic, pwede kayong mag rest stop at maraming kainan along the way. You can't really do that on SCTEX more than once unless lalabas ka.
Either way, good luck and safe driving.

We tried this once, I think 3 years ago, assumed that most of the vacationers would have been finished by Thursday evening.
It took us 4 hours to travel from Clark to Subic, what used to be 45 mins only. Go figure.
One of the main problems kasi ng Subic toll gate, 4 lang ang booths, minsan 5 pag ganyang holiday or magdadagdag sila to accommodate the massive inflow, but after the toll gate, the road narrows to 2 lanes again. Dyan na yung bottleneck at traffic ulit.
