we stayed at shamrock tavern. meron family room good for 6 or more and rooms for couples or small families. madaling kausap yung owner. even gave us a refund for the breakfast we did not consume. also it's a walking distance to a couple of popular eating places (sagada brew and lemon pie) and also to a good sized pay parking lot if their parking is full. it's a "no star" place pero wala naman yata high end hotel dun.

Rock Inn and Cafe is the one I recommend. I've been in sagada many times, I stayed on the same place ever since. Not cheap but for me the price is just right with what I get. The only minor issue is its distance to the town, about 3kms.

    Godspeed brother.

Im driving my uncles and titas to Baguio tomorrow, driving with my starex. From Baguio they plan to go to Sagada and then to Banaue.

Kamusta yung condition ng Hanselma Highway to Sagada?
And the road condition from Sagada to Banaue?

Any driving safety concerns I should avoid?
Kamusta weather sa Sagada and Banaue? Sunny or raining?

95 percent paved. Afaik, may ginagawang portion somewhere near the Bauko junction. But dont know the current status. At any rate, a sedan can go up to sagada.

I left Baguio this morning at 9 AM reached the Sagada -Bontoc junction around 1 pm, Sagada is still 12 kms from the junction. Still with isolated road wprks, 3 one way area and major works at Bauko, long stretch of one way. Very light traffic in most part of Hanselma. Average speed is 40-60 kph, lots of turns.

Maingat naman mga bus, and very rare, 5 lang yata nasalubong ko , Marami garage vans. Slow down lang sa turns, kung may gps ka bring one , guide on when to overtake. Waze is **** in this part of the Philippines, i used a garmin.

From Bontoc to Banaue, grabe daan sa Bontoc going to Banaue, haba ng mga one way, under repair.
Outside of Bontoc, all paved 2 way, may narrow portions , at maraming repair kaya may mga one way stretch, but mas less traffic than Hanselma kaya di masyado kapagod. May one area na old slide still being repaired, sakto lang bus sa width ng road. May mga clearing din dpwh na may mga falling rocks. Fog set in at 2 pm sa tuktuk ng range.

We missed the carrot juice at Bauco but instead buying more than 20kgm of newly harvested carrots at repolyo, amoy lupa tuloy loob ng starex. We bought seedless oranges too, harvest season pala ngayon ng seedless sagada oranges.

Most likely dun nga, yun kasi yung saddle kung saan dumadaan yung fog from Banaue side Mas mahirap pala mag drive sa daytime fog kaysa sa night fog.
